McCourt's Posse
Elmer McLean had been running security for freight stages for the last twenty five years. He constantly found pit stops in small towns a wonder with new inventions from the East. The latest was a shower, which flowed a seemingly endless stream of steaming hot water. It beat out regular bathing in cold creeks in every way.

Guns and Dragons
Agent Ergo Opt. Transmission AZ*PT: Humans and dragons Begin transmission: "There weren't always dragons in the valley. There was once a time of great peace and love among the human race. Once the dragons came, life changed and as a direct result, the humans were doomed. These dragons are powerful and abundant. They can move freely and quickly from one area to the next. These dragons seem to have one goal: to maim or kill. Not all of the dragons are bad though. Through research, I found that there are rescue dragon lords. These dragon lords wish to, and often actually do fight fire to fire and nose to nose until one side is eliminated.

The Kingdom of Come Again?
There weren’t always dragons in the Valley. Nor, for that matter, were there any now. In fact, you could go up to just about any Valley dweller while they were going about on their merry business and ask them: “So, what of these dragons, eh?” And quite likely, they would scratch their nose and respond with something like: “What’s a dragon?” or “Come again, mate?”

Fayrin's Journey
There weren't always dragons in the valley. But that was a long time ago. That is what Uncle Rous says anyway. The elders have banned him for his blasphemous speech. He once told me that this world is one of many, and we are but one of many living things. I don't know where he gets his musings, but he is either blessed by the God of Light or he is cursed by the God of the Moon. I may never know.

The Last Wanderer
“There weren’t always dragons in the valley, but you can always find one if you know where to look,” Even after years, Matilda Crooke could hear her grandfather’s coarse voice and smell his pipe tobacco. Her eyes prickled as she thought of him, it had been years, yet his loss still ached within her. He had been the best storyteller in Midvale and Matilda’s best friend. Things had seemed so simple back then; life glimpsed through the eyes of the child.

Dark Magic
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. In fact the last one was destroyed at the end of the Great War, but it seems they are back. Dragons are a lot like golems in the way that they are made, not born. And it takes an enormous amount of dark energy to create one. A dragon is the most powerful weapon a dark mage can possess.
