Adventure
SENON
Run they're coming ! Zinco says gasping for air as he follows behind. I look over my shoulder. Thinking to myself there is no way we both are going to be able to outrun them. We need to hide, I say back as I turn off the path. Over here I pointed at an open tree trunk. Hush he says as he climbs in after me. In the near distance we start to hear heavy footsteps. Their tracks stop here, says the leader. Let's split up you two check East as he points to a blonde skinny woman with her hair pulled back in a bun the other a male with a scar starting above his left peck and ending below the heart. He then looks at the other three with me as they start heading south. Zinco turns to me with his index finger to his lips mouthing stay here.As he hands me a heart shaped locket and a scroll written in ancient latin. Quietly he rises out of the tree trunk and starts to track the two that headed east. Several minutes went by but with the sun in ashes the remaining population cannot calculate time on earth. An echoing sound of a gunshot followed by a blood spilled scream came from the direction Zinco was headed. My chest started to form a ball of anxiety as I heard not one pair but two pairs of footsteps in sync heading directly towards my location. I grip the handle of my sword and put the necklaces around my neck. Carefully rising out of the trunk. A voice says “Senon it's just us”. My eyes meeting Zincos but landing on a familiar face. Hello Senon he said Hello Ruben I say back with a mocking tone.

A Vampire's Life - Part 3
January 1st, 1603 His feet pounded along the cobblestones of London's streets, running at the fastest pace he could manage. Scrimshaw had sent him on an errand; a delivery of money as payment for something or other. Bastian knew not what the ancient-looking man had bought, nor did he especially care. The white-haired old bugger had not taught him a single thing in terms of combat. He had taught him useful skills – reading, writing, how to speak (in an attempt to stomp out his accent), and some arithmetic – but those were only taught to him so he could perform the basic duties with which he was entrusted.

A Cherished Classic. Top Story - July 2021.
The other day, I really couldn’t sleep… and I fell on this bedtime story. I guess it has a special meaning for me, I mean it inspires my imagination to the point that I actually feel it. It’s as if, I am being transported by it in real time.

The Heart of Azariah
Ebony watched Aiden’s body fall to the ground, clutching the knife in his side. He wasn’t dead—not yet anyway—but the maze was taking its toll. Though he couldn’t see her through the maze’s labyrinth, she had a bird’s eye view from her perch behind the Harvester seats in the arena. She chose this section above the others because the drab Harvester uniforms made it easy to blend in. Of course, her own Miner section would have been the usual choice, but they would be expecting that. Being Azariah’s most wanted meant she had to forgo preferences. She’d only held this status for the last twelve hours, since for ten years Aiden Nathaniel Leona was the prize hunted by the Master and his Enforcers. But now their prize lay dying on the arena floor and the air already wreaked of hunger for fresh game.
