Love
I became a fool for Adrienne Parker the first moment I set eyes on her. Whenever Parker walked into Oliveira's Cafe my breath would stop. I'd try turning away, then find my gaze locked on her face. Maybe it was her bare arms that I found so appealing, or else her long hair and then those muscular arms, but in truth it was the animal in her body as well. Definitely it was there, in the way she moved when she walked by. What I know beyond question is that I felt powerless under this spell — I was attracted by the pure feeling of being alive again, in my own body, in my soul. That's what felt so thrilling, because I had become like a dead man on the inside for the past dozen years. This new feeling was the oddest sensation. I wasn't at all sure which direction to turn, and I became trapped in a dilemma part way between something that felt spiritual and something that felt physical.

My Aunt Jackie Part IV
They fingerprinted me after I was strip-searched. Then threw me into a cell with a female Kramer from Seinfield. RuPaul's female twin, with a beard and five tattoos on her breast. Which was showing. Along with two other ladies-of-the-night, who had more holes on their bodies than the Ozone layer. A jewel in each hole. Someone painted their faces with more colors than a rainbow in the rainforest. I had six hours or less for someone to see my sheet ladder, and I had a feeling Mom would need an IV to swallow this.

Rising Tides: Prologue
Prologue The fire crackled merrily in the hearth as a man sat at a desk covered in scattered papers and charts. He looked up wearily, his coal colored eyes set deep in his skull. With a long, suffering sigh, he bowed his head, gently rubbing his temples. The papers below his gaze seemed to hold nothing but swimming numbers and letters, causing his eyes to cross for a moment as he struggled to regain his grip on his sanity. He pushed himself away from the cluttered desk with a loud protest from the unfortunate chair. “I need a pint and a smoke if I want to get through these before morning,” he growled softly to himself.

The Black Ibis Cases - Chapter 3
Old. The air was heavy with the scent of old books as soon as I went through the door. The smell of old books was one of the prevalent odors I could distinguish as part of the mixture entering my nostrils, but there was more. Old wood, varnish and dust seemed to dominate over everything else in the archeology building apart from the stories of the objects from which the scents emanated.

Terr Archaios
Chapter 4: Planet Fall, Earth Earth hung in space outside the observation window of Odysseus. It had taken nine months but they finally reached home. They still had no communications with Mission Control on Earth but they were home. Commander Hughes called Jake to the command deck as the flagship of GalaxyX established a synchronous orbit above the Earth at a distance of two hundred and sixty-thousand miles.

Terra Archaios
Flight from Ceres Three days passed before the crew, warriors and the captives all awoke. Jake was astonished to find that Galantine’s warriors had brought on board sixty-four people. They were huddled in small groups throughout a ship designed for a complement of a hundred and fifty. Now the ship had a complement of a hundred and sixty passengers, but well within the feasible complement intended for the Odysseus, even if it meant cramped quarters for some. It was a good thing that GalaxyX had decided to equip the ship with the maximum fuel and provisions. The ship’s oxygen recycler and hydroponics would be able to assist in producing the additional fresh oxygen needs of the passengers.

Chapter Seven: A Different Perspective
“Come on, we need to get you out of here.” quickly looking around and pulling out my lightsaber, I twist the knob on the handle; adjusting the length of it. After doing that, I ignite it and try to cut Darryl’s binders, only to have my lightsaber extinguish. “What the...” pulling his hands closer I see some sort of energy surrounding it and I grit my teeth. That bounty hunter must have known I was a Jedi. That means, Aydgage sent them or decided to go after the bounty Revan put out. Darryl lets out a low, pained moan. I look at his face, to gauge how much pain he is in. Sweat is all over his face and down his neck, his eyes have now closed and I can feel nothing but regret coming from him. “Darryl? I need you to talk to me.”

Terra Archaios
Chapter 2: Inside Ceres Mira led Jake down the long corridor until she came to an opening in the far wall the size of a normal man, that is to say, if a normal man was ten feet as tall as the soldiers were. The soldiers were able to transverse the hallway two side by side. A brilliant green stone was embedded in the wall above the entrance, with a light that shone through the stone, bathing the entrance in a greenish hue. A strange mist hung in the doorway.
