In the morning dew, the smell of rosewater drifted on the breeze. Kotus-19 could not only decipher the smell, but could deliver information on the chemical makeup of the fragrance.

He met up with Jascynthia-50 and they basked in the sunshine. Made of all gold to protect them from the solar rays on the moon, they used their limbs to interact with each other.

“I want to cut off my systems,” Jascynthia announced.

“No.”

“Why not?”

“You’re too precious.”

“To whom? The humans? They’re the only reason we’re here but it’s not them.”

What?”

“I’m electronically pregnant.”

“Now, I see.”
