Symbiotic: Chapter 16

Chapter 16 (Chapters 16-18 mainly deal with Sara Bloom Leveling up, choosing a Class, and updating their Character Sheet... Repeatedly. Since scanning through Stats and sheets are not everyone's choice of a good time, these two chapters are kept purposefully short., and can be skipped over if they are not your cup of tea.)

Sara leaned back against the cavern wall, spores drifting lazily around her as she let her body recover. Ten minutes of rest, (It wasn’t a nap, she told herself. It was just a test of her eyelids), and she knew she had to focus up and get back to the Dungeon. She was much better off if she found the next Greatworm rather than the next Greatworm finding her!

“Ok, Sara. Break's over. Back to work!”, she muttered as she heaved herself back to her feet.

Then the System Reminder chimed. “Oh, that’s right.”, she said as she rubbed her bleary eyes, “More Notifications to review. Ok. Let’s get the homework done!”

*DING* [Experience Gained For being the first Challenger Party to Defeat Apex Greatworm: 100 Experience]

Total: 514.26 / 500

Her eyes widened. 100 Experience? That was enough. More than enough. The familiar DING rang in her mind, sharp and triumphant.

As she read through her updated info, Sara was already ecstatic over her growth. Her stats, based on the Human scale of 1 to 20, were reaching the realm of Superhuman. She’d started at 1’s, and now she had her first stats touching the 30s. How far could she go?!?! And her Mycorrhizal Network, the true force multiplier within her, had just refilled and grown again. 2000 microbes in her little fungal army!

Then, suddenly, Sara sat up straighter, her grin spreading. A class?
