Sunshine And Bumblebees
Fiction Shorts word of the day: Yellow

Raine can hear the screams as she walks up the driveway and her heart drops.
Here we go again, she thinks to herself. It’s how we start every day and it hurts my soul.
Raine opens the front door and heads to her daughter’s bedroom. Six year old Prue is thrashing on the floor in a full blown tantrum.
She is fully clothed in the cutest pink dress and it is this very reason for the screams.
Prue refuses to wear anything that is not in her favourite colour. She associates her happiness with her love of the colour yellow.

This drabble has been written as part of the daily Drabble Drop challenge and today's random word, that must be included in the drabble, is 'yellow'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful idea in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

Omggggg, this is so freaking me! I mean the child me. When I was like 4 to 6 years old, my favourite colour was yellow and I'd refuse to wear anything other than that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I say let her wear yellow!
