Squirrel had always been a diligent learner since childhood and was consistently an excellent student at school. Both classmates and teachers liked her, and they had high expectations for her. Not to mention her parents, who would become ecstatic every time Squirrel brought home an award certificate from school. They hoped that she would study hard, acquire knowledge, and contribute to building a more perfect forest, making it a warm and beautiful home for all the animals.

Squirrel didn't disappoint anyone. In that year's graduation exam, she was admitted to Forest University. When Squirrel received the acceptance letter, her whole family jumped with joy. However, as she carefully examined the admission letter, she started to panic and became restless. What could be the matter?

At that moment, Squirrel's mother approached her and asked, "Child, you've been accepted to Forest University, which is a cause for celebration. Why do you look so worried?"

Squirrel replied, "Mother, you don't understand. To reach Forest University, I have to cross a vast and boundless desert. I don't know how to make it through! If only I had the ability to overcome the desert!"

Squirrel's words reminded her mother of someone. She thought, "Uncle Camel is helpful and experienced in traversing deserts. Perhaps I should seek his assistance!" With that in mind, Squirrel's mother hurriedly ran to Uncle Camel's house.

Arriving at Uncle Camel's house, Squirrel's mother said, "Uncle Camel, my daughter has been accepted to Forest University, but she needs to cross a large desert to get there. Please help us."

Uncle Camel smiled and said, "Auntie, I will do my best to help." Squirrel's mother was overjoyed and didn't know how to express her gratitude.

The next day, Uncle Camel and Squirrel set off. Squirrel sat comfortably between Uncle Camel's two humps. They traveled and reached the desert. Looking around, Squirrel saw sand dunes of various heights spread throughout the desert.

Worriedly, Squirrel asked, "Uncle Camel, everything looks the same here. Won't you get lost?"

Uncle Camel confidently replied, "Squirrel, my neck is long, and I can see far into the distance. I guide people and have never lost my way. Don't worry!"

At noon, the scorching sun roasted the earth, making the sand unbearably hot. As soon as Squirrel's feet touched the ground, she immediately recoiled due to the pain. However, Uncle Camel remained unaffected and continued walking boldly.

Surprised, Squirrel asked, "Uncle Camel, when I step on the ground, it burns and forces me to retract my feet. But why are you not bothered by it?"

Uncle Camel smiled and said, "Squirrel, I have thick footpads from walking in the desert all year round. They won't get burned."

"Oh, I see!" said Squirrel. "Uncle Camel, I'm extremely thirsty, and my throat feels like it's on fire."

Hearing this, Uncle Camel sympathetically said, "Squirrel, don't worry. Just hold on for a little longer, and I will find water for you." He raised his head, sniffed the air, and then told Squirrel, "Squirrel, don't fret. I've found a water source not far from the sand dune on the left."

Squirrel's spirits immediately lifted. They found the water source, and Squirrel drank four or five mouthfuls, quenching her thirst. Uncle Camel, on the other hand, drank a lot of water in one go. Astonished, Squirrel said, "Uncle Camel, you're like a large water tank! How can you drink so much water?"

When evening arrived, a fierce sandstorm swept in, swirling sand particles through the air. Squirrel was terrified and couldn't even open her eyes. In that moment, a sand dune formed a protective cover over them. Uncle Camel shook his body, causing the sand particles to fall off. They rested, and Squirrel fell asleep nestled next to Uncle Camel. When she woke up at dawn, she looked around and saw small sand hills piled up all around them, which was quite fascinating.

After enduring countless hardships, they finally reached their destination, Forest University. Gratefully, Squirrel said, "Thank you, Uncle! I must write a letter to my mother, so she can express her gratitude to you."

"No need to thank me," Uncle Camel smiled. "Squirrel, study hard. When the winter break comes, I will come to pick you up again."
