The place was dimly lit, but he could hear the music and laughter behind the black door. Above him a sign read, “The Iron Curtain.”

He knew the password. He whispered it to the burly man at the door who nodded and let him in.

"Hey, buddy. What can I get you?" a friendly face greeted him from behind the bar.

He leaned closer and said the code word. The bartender smiled and winked. He pulled a lever under the counter, and a hidden panel slid open. Behind it, a treasure trove of liquor bottles gleamed.

"Welcome to the speakeasy," he said. "The best kept secret in town."
