Snow Surprise

I was laying there all nice and comfortable on the cozy blanket you set next to the roaring fireplace, the intense warmth allowed me to sleep deeply. I didn't even mind it when you came up and petted me and gave me some tasty tuna, that was broken up just the way I like it. Then when you put the blanket over me, that was purrfect.
You kept it quiet while I took my nap, like you did not want to disturb me. Which was fine, because guess what? I did not want to be disturbed. But I should have known, oh yes, I should have known you were planning something. You were making me feel oh so good... too good if you ask me.
Yes, I should have known when you finally picked me up in your arms, I saw it out the window, the snow that I already knew was there; the reason why I stuck by the fireplace.
Then you opened the door with me in your arms, my heart raced, panic set in, I tried to get away. You didn't let it go, but you let me go with a gentle toss, down into a spot in the freezing nasty snow.
Yes, the snow is cold, it makes me mad, it freezes me through and through, and more snow comes, it covers my head. Yeah, wait until 3am when I scat in your bed, see how lovable I am then.
