Snowball

Snowball was a medium sized dog with snow white fur with a big black nose and blue eyes, and there was one thing that he loved to do more than anything in the world, and that was dig holes. One summer he dug a hole so deep--. But that's a different story.

On this particular day, snowball discovered SNOW! A whole lot of snow had come down the night before, and this was his first-time experiencing snow.

He had gone out for his morning bio-break and after he did what needed to be done, he began barking and jumping at the snowflakes, as they landed on his black nose. He soon discovered that there was a rather large pile of snow in the corner of the yard, and he began digging at it with intent.

It took quite some time to dig a hole the size he wanted, but he did, then reached in with his paws and began to hollow the mound of snow out so good that even a Corp of engineers couldn't do a better job.

Finally, after taking almost the entire day it was ready, and Snowball crawled his way into the hole and peaked out at the world outside his little homemade den.

"Dinnertime!" the voice called out.

Snowball looked out at the man who called out to him, as if to say; "Just bring my food out to me; I'm perfectly happy where I am."
