Avoiding her roommate wasn't easy as she'd hoped. But she had managed it. After a couple of weeks she had a schedule written up. How long she should stay in their shared room and when to leave. As well as nights when her roommate would just be gone. On those nights, she'd spend her time singing and dancing. Thing she'd do to de-stress back home. They made her feel more at peace at the school. Though those times were rare and few between. It seemed that Eleanor took delight in aggravating her. Spending a good portion of her time watching really loud action movies while she tried to sleep. Or playing video games that featured lots of explosions. A few times comming her boyfriend to 'talk'. Bijou wondered if it was bad to wish they'd break up.

Tonight was one of those nights. Eleanor was loudly discussing something to him but Bijou was ignoring it. Which was rapidly becoming more and more difficult. The pair were discussing something that she found irritating. In a matter of a few minutes, she was shoving her things into her backpack and sneaking out. There was a small cafe for students in case they needed coffee or other things. Her fellow classmates usually used it to study for tests. Since it was the middle of the week there probably would be a few people there. Hopefully none of them would bug her or Onyx. And as they headed to the cafe, she asked,"Do you think we could request to change rooms?"

"I'm sure we could but I'm not sure how long it would be before we'd get a new room.",Onyx answered. His tone suggesting that he had already thought of this. It made her sigh as they walked along. In a quiet voice, she said,"I know that, Onyx. But I'm getting sick of Eleanor. It feels like she's purposely trying to piss me off or something."

"She might be trying to do that.",he agreed. Onyx had noticed a pattern in her behavior. And that it was slowly starting to get worse. Eleanor was aggressively trying to push Bijou away. For what reason he wasn't sure. But he could tell that she didn't want her there. He told her his thoughts and pointed out the pattern. How she'd talk louder when she knew Bijou was there. Turning up the volume when she could tell Bijou was trying to sleep. In a gentle voice, he said,"It's almost as if she's trying to get you to leave."

"I'm more than happy to let her win.",she stated. As they turned the corner, she looked up at him with a frown. And she continued,"I don't want to be near her more than I have to. And I'm sick of having to leave my own room to get some peace."

It didn't seem fair to him either. Bijou shouldn't have to leave her room to get privacy or space. But he knew it would take a while for her to get what she wanted. What she needed would be worth the wait and effort. Her sleep schedule was thrown off thanks to this and he was worried about her health. He'd spent a few weeks reading up on human health once. Onyx knew that humans needed sleep to function well. If Bijou didn't get that, he worried she'd start to get ill. Especially with the amount of caffeine that she had been ingesting within the month since she arrived there. In his own mind it seemed that she'd start getting ill if she kept drinking more of it. His thought were interrupted as they finally entered the small cafe. Bijou dragged him to a small table in the back. Set her backpack down as she said,"I say we wait here for a couple of hours then head back. She might be in bed by then."

"We can only hope.",Onyx replied in a low tone. Nodding her head in agreement, she headed to the register. The line to the register was small but she just wanted her coffee. As she waited, she talked to Onyx about her classes for tomorrow. That she needed him to help her take notes. As well as to set a reminder on when to head to the library. There were a few books that she needed to check out. And she had to be sure that she wouldn't forget. Not that she was worried about forgetting. But she felt that it better safe than sorry. After all, she wasn't very lucky these past few days. It could very well easily slip her mind.

Soon it was their turn, and she ordered herself a simple black coffee. Figuring that she probably wasn't going to need much else. After paying for it, she waited by the side of the counter. Which was only a few minutes. And as she headed back to the table with Onyx, she asked,"Is there anything else that I should be studying on?"

"The effects of sleep deprivation and caffeine on the human body?",he replied in a snarky tone. The glare she gave him made him keep quiet. In a gentle voice, he apologized. Bijou rolled her eyes at his antics, then sat down with her coffee. It wasn't the first time he said this, and she figured it wouldn't be the last. So, she figured that it'd be easier to let it go rather than to linger on it. As she drank her coffee, she started to feel off. Almost as if she was being watched by someone. Her eyes scanned the cafe subtly as she tried to pinpoint the feeling. At first no one really stuck out to her. Until she saw a teacher on the other side of the room. One that she wasn't taking a class for.

He was paler than Eleanor and had dark brown eyes. His face was almost as thin as he seemed to be. With a very straight nose. Along with hair as black as coal. Which might have been the reason that he looked so pale. The man wore all black like her roommate did. In fact a lot of things about him reminded her of Eleanor. Right down to how he stared at her from across the room. Open distaste in his features. Her teeth dug into her bottom lip as she tore her gaze from him. Doing everything she could to ignore him. Yet every time her eyes would wander back to his. A cold shiver went down her spine as she noticed he was getting up. That he was taller than she had imagined he had been. In a low voice, she said,"Pack up our things. We need to get out of here, Onyx."

Putting her drink on the table, she gathered her things into her backpack. Trying to hurry her droid along as he got closer to her. When he was about a foot away from her, she stood up. Practically running to get out of the place. Onyx following after her as quick as he could. In a worried voice he kept trying to ask her repeatedly what the matter was. But she couldn't answer him. She was afraid that if she stopped that the man would catch up. That he would do something to her. And she couldn't have that.

Once she felt that they were far enough away, she explained what had happened. How the man in the cafe had intimidated her. When Onyx tried to assure her that it might have been a misunderstanding, she shook her head. The hate in that man's eyes just made her unable to believe that it was a misunderstanding. There was no way she was imagining all of that. Though she had to admit, it seemed highly unlikely he was a threat. After all, she didn't even give him a chance to speak. He could've been harmless. While she reflected upon the situation, she heard someone call out,"Excuse me! Miss? You've dropped this!"

Turning to the voice, she froze on the spot. The person coming to her was the man from the cafe. With her room key in his hand.
