Shadows Of Blackridge Part 2
Shadows Of Blackridge Part 2

Chapter 2: The First Clue
The first light of morning was breaking through the light clouds over the town of Blackridge. Emily tried to wake up early, but the strange events of the night were playing on her mind. The strange markings on the window—those three circles and the arrow—were still in front of her eyes. It couldn’t be a coincidence.
She pulled out her notebook and began writing down the clues she had found that night. Trying to connect the words “Shadow Hill Caves” written in Alex’s notebook with the markings outside the window, Emily had only one question in her mind: Could these markings and the caves be a clue to the disappearances?
After a while, Sarah’s phone rang. A panicked voice could be heard from the phone.
“Emily, I think someone was loitering around my house,” she said.
Emily immediately responded, “Are you okay? I’ll be right back to you.”
When Emily arrived at Sarah’s house, she saw that fear was clearly visible on Sarah’s face. She told Emily that when she went out in the morning, she saw something lying on the door—it was Alex's watch.
Emily looked at the watch. It was a normal watch, but there were blood stains on it. Sarah had tears in her eyes seeing the blood stains.
"This watch is Alex's," she said. "I saw him wearing it last time. How did it get here?"
Emily was convinced that someone was deliberately trying to mislead them. This was not just a case of missing person; it was something deeper and more dangerous.
Emily said, "We have to check the Shadow Hill Caves. Maybe we will find some more clues there."
Sarah was scared at first. She had heard many scary stories about those caves in the town. But she decided to go with Emily to know the truth about her brother.
Towards Shadow Hill Caves
The caves were to the north of the town. Emily and Sarah used an old map to find a way to reach there. The road was deserted. The branches of the big trees were bent over their heads, and at every step it seemed as if someone was watching them.
As they both reached closer to the cave, the air became colder. The area around the cave was deserted. There was moss on the stones, and the strange silence there seemed very scary.
As soon as she reached in front of the cave, Emily took out her torch. As soon as she entered the cave, she saw strange marks on the walls. These were the same marks that were made in Alex's notebook. Three round circles and an arrow mark.
"Look here Sarah," Emily said. This is the same mark. It means that Alex must have come here.
Walking inside the cave, they found some burnt pieces of candles and piles of ashes. It seemed as if someone had recently performed a ritual there.
As both of them moved inside the cave, Emily felt as if someone was watching them. Her sixth sense was repeatedly warning her.
"Sarah, do you also feel that there is someone else here?" she asked in a whisper.
Sarah nodded in agreement. Her breathing was becoming faster.
Suddenly, some sounds started coming from a dark corner of the cave. It seemed as if someone was whispering. Both of them stopped their steps.
“Let’s go from here, Emily. This place doesn’t feel right to me,” Sarah said fearfully.
But Emily couldn’t stop herself due to curiosity. She turned the flashlight in the direction of the sound, but there was no one there. Just then, a stone fell near them.
“There’s someone!” Sarah screamed.
Emily immediately held Sarah’s hand and said, “It could be dangerous to stay here. We should go back now.”
Sarah was trembling while coming out of the cave. She said, “Emily, I am sure there was someone there. I saw someone’s shadow.”
Emily tried to calm her down.
“What we saw is important. These caves are a part of this mystery. We have to investigate more deeply. But for now, we should go back.”
When Sarah and Emily came out of the cave, it was evening. Dark clouds had covered the sky, and there was a strange coolness in the air.
Emily dropped Sarah off at her home and promised to uncover the truth of this mystery. But what she saw and felt inside the cave raised many questions in Emily's mind.
Were these events the work of some secret organization? Was Alex still alive? And if yes, where was he?
