In the New Year, I can wear new clothes, receive red envelopes, eat good food, write Chinese New Year scrolls, watch the lantern show, visit the temple fair ...... and set off firecrackers. Although I am a girl only ten years old, I have vivid memories of the experience of setting off firecrackers on New Year's Day.

　　When I was two or three years old, my mom and dad would buy some cupolas, leaping monkeys, small bees, and other fun and beautiful sound and small firecrackers to play with together to make me happy. Despite this, I still let my dad hold the firecracker more than 10 meters away from me, and then hide in my mom's arms before I could release it. Whenever I think of this scene, my mind will conjure up the scene of a timid but happy little girl, hiding in her mother's arms, watching her father set off the firecrackers. It's heartwarming and beautiful!

　　I was five years old when I first set off firecrackers myself. Don't laugh at me for being a timid little girl, I still remember clearly how much courage it took to succeed. When I saw children setting off firecrackers during the New Year, I thought they were really brave, and I wanted to try it too. But then I thought, "What if I just light up and blow up? It was under this psychological influence that I was afraid to touch the firecrackers until I saw my younger siblings playing with them, and then I was determined to try. The first time I played was with a firecracker. I took out a firecracker and threw it as hard as they did, and heard a crisp "pop! I made it! I was so happy that I jumped up and down. It turned out to be so easy, and in a short while, I finished the box of cannons. I got braver and braver, and I wanted to play the more exciting leaping monkey. The first thing I did was to insert the monkey into the earth and use the incense to light the fire. The head of the incense just touched the eye of the cannon and I rushed to the side and covered my ears. How can I not see any movement? It turns out that I did not light it. It was a false alarm. So I plucked up my courage and set off again, seeing the eye of the cannon ignite I rushed to retreat, only to see it "whoosh" leaped into the sky, in the blink of an eye there was no trace, accompanied by a "bang", the sky appeared a beautiful small flower. Wow, it's so beautiful and exciting!

　　Ever since I could set off firecrackers, I would go with my mom to the street to buy some firecrackers for fun during New Year's Eve. Until three years ago, the firecrackers disappeared like a collective, and there was not a single firecracker to be seen on the New Year's Eve street. It turns out that the city of Sanmenxia has implemented a "ban on firecrackers" because of the damned haze. I want to set off firecrackers!

　　It's not fun to have firecrackers for the New Year. Why do you want to ban firecrackers? As I grew older, I came to understand that the air quality was getting worse and worse, and the number of hazy days was increasing, affecting everyone's health. The firecrackers will release a lot of harmful gases, causing serious air pollution, but also easy to start fires, blowing up people and other hazards, so there is a "ban on firecrackers". The firecracker is a momentary pleasure, but the green mountain is the silver mountain! For the sake of the green hills, everyone should contribute their strength, and gather less into more sand into a tower, and I believe that day will not be far away.

　　Firecrackers have left me with good memories, and they have made me understand what courage is. Now I don't set off firecrackers on New Year's Eve because I've grown up! I understand the duties and responsibilities of being a citizen. I can make dumplings with my grandmother, hide and seek with my brother, walk with my mother ...... and do lots of meaningful things!
