"Run!"
That was the last word I heard before the blast, when things were normal. Buildings stood, complete. People were moving leisurely, meandering and weaving, talking and laughing. I could hear.
Now, there is ringing and ringing and RINGING! It pierces me, penetrating into my very thoughts, skewering them with its shrill cry. I hear the muffled shrieks of terror and see the dust and the open mouths and the wide, wide eyes. People look like albino zombies or agitated atoms as they're either dazed or frantic.
Or dead.
Hellish visions swim past.
I'm scared!
Then, I realise: I'm alive!!
