Ch-1

By Meu DiorPublished 3 years ago 2 min read

You swiftly ran to the bakery along the crowded street and bought some of those exquisite Muffins which were sold out three times in a row. You almost gave up, but your stomach didn't. Nor did your heart. You loitered around the streets of Italy every hour just in case a gorgeous lad was looking around to kidnap girls and give them 365 days to fall in love.

You get tempting looking things in Italy, both, in terms of men and delicacies. One of the sole reasons you were here, in Italy, is because Delilah had nourished your mind about picking men over studies. Which you had initially considered but abandoned when your grades dropped with your confidence and to charge your mind, you flew to Italy. Your hotel, not any lavish 5 -star gem since during the holidays people crammed up here. You were about seven months away from graduating from the pain-in-the-ass uni, and seven months away from moving to Denmark.

Currently, you were supposed to study in Canada with your so-called sister, Delilah Mi.

She was pretty good to you, at least reviewing that she paid for your past eight months' hospital bills and didn’t mind you taking up the couch with her, for free. Your initial tries of trying to get her ulterior motives out failed miserably as even after six months, she made tea for you every morning. Almost thinking that you got abducted from a hospital, took 50 years from your lifeline but if it hadn’t been her, your condition would have been like smelling hades’s butthole.

Your cell phone rang as you scavenged for it amid your infinite supply of toffees stuffed in your handbag.

“Hayden, honey….you kinda need to rush back home” Delilah voiced over the call.

“So soon? I just got here” You whined while tugging your hair back.

“I am aware but it’s urgent, like-really urgent”

“What’s the matter?”

“Ok…so, apparently Amira called and she wants you to fly back to Denmark for in a week for further studies”

“Who’s Amira now?”

“Oh- yes, I didn’t tell you?, she’s my new secretary. I hired her few weeks ago”

“Okay…..and who gave my application?”

“I did, of course” you swear you heard her sipping her morning tea.

You internally cried, you weren't ready to go there, alone.

“I kind of don't want to go, right now” You reluctantly answered her.

“You've got to be kidding me Hayden. It’s Aarhus, it’s a big deal and you anyway had to go, the earlier the better.”

“Not so soon though, I still have one month” You mewled.

She took a deep breath before uttering, “ Hayden….you have to merge in with the people and atmosphere. Please, huh? If you say so, I will book your tickets a month later”

She made sense.

“All right, I’ll take the first flight to Canada tomorrow. Let me know if there's anything else”

“Sure hun, see ya soon “ You definitely heard her smile through the line.

You tugged at your bag and swung it up your shoulder before exhaling a sharp lump of air. Your pretty vacation crippled up too quickly. A disappointed madness materialized over your face as you walked to your hotel.
