Right person wrong time

Unexpected park encounter

By Adiba MurtazaPublished 3 years ago β€’ 2 min read

Samantha had always been a hopeless romantic. She spent most of her days dreaming of a love that would sweep her off her feet and carry her away to a world of happiness and bliss. But she had never quite found that kind of love, and as the years went by, she began to feel like she was running out of time.

It was on a warm summer day that Samantha first laid eyes on him. She was walking through the park, lost in her thoughts, when she saw him sitting on a bench, reading a book. He looked up and their eyes met, and Samantha felt a jolt of electricity run through her body.

She approached him cautiously, not wanting to seem too forward. "Excuse me," she said softly, "what are you reading?"

He looked up and smiled, and she felt her heart skip a beat. "It's a novel by Tolstoy," he said. "War and Peace."

Samantha was impressed. She had never read the book herself, but she had heard that it was a masterpiece. They began to talk, and soon they were lost in a conversation that lasted for hours. They talked about everything from books to politics to their hopes and dreams.

As the sun began to set, Samantha realized that it was time for her to go. She didn't want to leave, but she knew that she had to. "It was really nice talking to you," she said, as she got up to leave.

He stood up too and smiled at her. "It was nice talking to you too," he said. "Maybe we could do it again sometime?"

Samantha's heart skipped a beat. She couldn't believe it. Was he really asking her out? She smiled back at him, trying to keep her cool. "I'd like that," she said.

And so began their romance. They went on dates, watched movies, and talked about everything under the sun. Samantha felt like she had finally found the love that she had been searching for all her life.

But there was a problem. He was leaving. He had a job offer in another city, and he had to leave in just a few weeks.

Samantha was devastated. She had just found the love of her life, and now he was leaving her. She tried to put on a brave face, but she could feel her heart breaking.

They spent every moment they could together in the weeks leading up to his departure. They went on long walks, picnicked in the park, and watched the sun rise over the city.

And then the day came when he had to leave. Samantha stood on the platform of the train station, tears streaming down her face. He held her tight, not wanting to let go. "I'll come back for you," he whispered in her ear.

Samantha nodded, knowing that he had to go. But she couldn't help but wonder if he really would come back for her. She watched as the train pulled away from the station, and as he disappeared from view, she knew that she had met him at the wrong time.
