Sometimes love calls for drastic measures.
Ross gathered the courage and walked through the automatic doorway to the drug mart with every intention of committing theft. It would be his first time as an adult. As a teenager they called it the five-finger discount.
"Sir, do you plan to pay for that?" The manager said. Ross reacted by bolting toward the door where a security guard waited.
"Empty your pockets NOW!" the guard shouted while aiming pepper spray. Ross complied, then busted out the door.
His mom's insurance was exhausted; the cost of her meds, inflated. Is Love a valid reason for a bad choice?

This is so good.. and relatable. I grew up on the wrong side of town in a family that had really nothing. My older sisters taught me how to steal what I needed, and I didn't even know it was wrong until I was a teenager. When I found out, I felt SO guilty. I try and pay it forward as often as I can as an adult.
