
Duke and Finnigan sat across from each other at the campfire, breathing light clouds of chilled breath. “We need to keep moving, the wolves will be patrolling soon”, Luke muttered while drinking warm water from his kettle. “I don’t know if I can get up Finny”. A howl echoed through the night. “You have to, I can’t make it to the generators by myself”. Duke stretches out his hand and tosses a rusty key to Finnigan. “When you turn the power back on, come back this way. If I'm still here, we can go home together.”
