Derek broke out in a cold sweat when he saw that his work computer was on fire with a virus. He broke out in an even a colder sweat when he saw the man from I.T heading his way. “Come on! Please!” Derek said to himself as he tried to close the pop ups, luckily the sound was on mute, other wise Janice who sat in front of him would hear all sorts. “Please!” Derek kept on saying as he tried to be rid of his virus on his own. “Janice I’m here to instore a firewall on your computer!” spoke the I.T guy who was now swimming in closer towards him. Derek could almost hear the jaws theme as the I.T guy was getting closer to his computer. Every pop up just wouldn’t go away, no matter how many times Derek pressed the X in the corner.

“Derek?” The I.T guy said as he was finished with Janice computer and now sneaked his way to over Derek’s computer. “Sebastian!” Derek shrieked as his cold sweat flung off his forehead and it seemed to hit Janice in the eye and onto her dress. “Derek!” shouted Janice who got up from her chair and made her way to the ladies. The rest of the office began to stare at Derek who was now clinging to his chair, he felt like he was going to fall of the chair with the amount of sweat that was falling off his body, he almost looked like Ted Striker from Airplane, minus the doctor counting on him. Instead he had Sebastian the I.T guy in front of him, waiting to add the firewall to Derek’s computer. “Hi Sebastian, nice to see you again, how’s the wife?” Derek anxiously spoke as he tried to hide his computer away from the I.T guy. “Derek I’m gay.” Sebastian spoke back, just showing that Derek knew almost nothing about Sebastian, “Sorry, how’s your partner?” Derek asked as he hid his computer with an accounting book. “He left me five months ago!” Sebastian said as he added to the fact that Derek knew nothing about him.

“Oh well, there is always another dog in the bag?” Derek asked as he tried to defuse the situation. “Can I just look at your computer?” asked an interested Sebastian who was only trying to do his job. “Can’t it wait, why don’t I get you a coffee?” Derek said as he woke from his chair and tried to guide Sebastian over to the kitchen that was hidden in the blunt side of the office. “All I want is to put a firewall on your computer, so if you please!” Sebastian said as he tried to barge past the cowering man. “PLEASE! I really need a coffee!” Derek said as he screamed the please right in the face of Sebastian, which shook him. Sebastian began to think that Derek was having some sort of mid life crisis, even though he was only in his mid-twenties. Sebastian was also worried for his own safety, so as he swallowed a giant gulp down his throat and agreed to get coffee with Derek. “I don’t have milk in mine!” Sebastian said. Derek began a sigh of relief as he bargained the I.T guy away from his computer. “I like it black too.” Derek said, not knowing the refence he made meant more then what he said. Sebastian began to wonder in his mind about Derek’s intentions. ‘Could he be wanting to take me out on a date’ Sebastian thought to himself. While making their way to the kitchen, they passed the blunt co-workers of their from the blunt side of the office, and you couldn’t meet a more of a miserable bunch, everyone of them looked like they were in the same frame of mind as Keith from the office. “Morning Daniel!” Derek said nervously but Daniel just slumped in his chair, being nothing but miserable.

“Morning Amy!” Derek said to the woman next to Daniel, and if looks could kill, she would have more deaths under her eyes than John Wick on steroids. “Morning Ethan!” Derek said as he and Sebastian past the last blunt co-worker so seem to have a limp tongue, he almost looked like a dog with the length of his tongue out of his mouth, you wouldn’t put past him to put a coaster under his tongue. Every word that came out of Derek’s mouth seemed to be spat out with nothing but nervous words and anxious discreet. Once they finally made it to the kitchen, it seemed to be empty, which seemed to make Derek sweat even more. Sebastian of course noticed this, he thought Derek was sweating because of him, he thought that Derek was going to ask him a question that had been building up through his days working at the office. Derek was nervous however, because he had no plan going into the Kitchen. Once they had their coffee, then what. Sebastian was going to put the firewall into his computer no matter what, and once he did this, he would see the amount of viruses that was on his computer. “Do you take sugar in your coffee?” Derek asked, again with nervous words. “Sugar!? In coffee!?” Sebastian said now thinking that Derek was minutes away from asking him out. “No sorry, I didn’t mean to say… I just thought that…. Do you want…” Derek said as he stuttered his words. “All over my new dress, disgusting!” Janice said as appeared from the bathroom next to the kitchen. “Look who it is, its Janice, why don’t we walk to her!” Derek said as he tried to change the situation once again. But he was pulled back by Sebastian with a gentle touch. “Why don’t you just ask me?” Sebastian said with an aroused manner. Derek looked back at Sebastian and saw him smiling at his eyes. He knew in this moment the things that he said to Sebastian, all the comments about wanting a coffee with Sebastian, acting nervous in front of him and wanted to be a different situations with Sebastian. “Sebastian…I… I…I…” Derek said as he countered to stutter his words again, only making it seemed that he was still nervous to be around Sebastian but for all the wrong reasons. “I like movies and popcorn. Why don’t we say Friday?” Sebastian said as he asked Derek out on a date, not knowing the true intentions of Derek. “Sebastian!” Derek said as he tried to make clear of the situation.

“Shush, call me later in the day, and we’ll take it from there!”. It was in this moment when Derek would have just wanted him to put the firewall onto his computer and let him see the pop ups that had made so much noise. “Now let’s put that firewall up!” Sebastian said as he began to walk back to Derek’s computer. Derek was so caught up in his own thoughts that he didn’t see Sebastian walking over to his computer. “You see this, brand new!” Janice said as she showed Derek the stains on her dress. This woke Derek up from his thoughts, also too his eyes, which pointed straight at Sebastian who was walking over towards his computer. “Oh god no!” Derek said as he began to run back to his computer, pushing Janice back in the toilets, as he did so, putting more stains on her new dress. Derek opened the kitchen door and rushed past the blunt side of the office. “Morning Derek.” Spoke Daniel as he stood in front of Derek, halting his sprint. “I was meaning to ask you. Do you have the accounts for the Murphy company?” Daniel asked.

Derek tried to get past Daniel; Daniel may have been blunt but he would never lose an argument. “Can I just get past you Daniel?” Derek asked as his cold sweats began to heat his head again.

“I need the accounts; the Murphy company is our biggest client!” Daniel said not letting Derek past him. Sebastian was now only inches away from his computer, so he need to get away from blunt Daniel. “Janice has them, I just gave them to her, can you please let me go.”. Being blunt and miserable, Daniel believed in Derek’s words and left the sweaty man to his own thoughts. Derek once again rushed past one of his co-workers and to the computer, but it was too late. Sebastian was now looking at Derek’s screen and saw the amount of pop ups that had riddled Derek’s computer, and they weren’t the kind that Sebastian would like. It was in this moment when Sebastian realized why Derek was acting the way he was, and it was nothing to do with asking him out. “Sebastian please, I didn’t mean to hurt you feelings!” Derek said as he tried to apologised. But Sebastian ignored him and carried on with his roll as the I.T guy. He installed the firewall and totally ignored Derek along the way. “Your computer is now virus free and the firewall is install, all you need to do is reset your password.” Sebastian said with tears nearly filling his eyes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you!” Derek said again as he tried a limp apology towards the I’T guy. “Me too!” Sebastian said as he either apologised or made a statement about not wanting to hurt him, Derek thought that it would be the latter. He closed his eyes expecting a punch from Sebastian, but he didn’t feel any pain, but he did hear it. He heard noises coming from his computer and they weren’t the good kind. They were the kind from the pop ups.

The whole office heard the noises coming from Derek’s computers and began to either laugh from the men or quiver in disgust from the women. “I’m sorry too!” Sebastian said as he too hurt Derek. Sebastian left Derek only there being laughed at. Derek saw Sebastian leave and a smile rose to his lips as he tried to comfort himself. “Well least it cant get any worse?” Derek said to himself. “Coffee?” Janice asked as she snuck up behind him. Shocking him to his core and making spill the coffee over her dress. “Derek! This was…”, “A new dress, I know!” Derek said as interrupted Janice as he couldn’t give a monkeys as he went to close his laptop, and reset is password, along with his life. If he even had one after this….
