Platinum Plan Members Guide

As our valued customer, first let us thank you for entrusting us with your most valuable asset – yourself.

As a platinum member we recognize the many years of hard work for the Collective and the diligent payments you have made to ensure your retirement goes smoothly. We know you are used to the finer things in life, and you can rest assured that your comfort is our number one concern.

For your safety, please place all valuable items, such as wedding rings, ear loops and helios, in the marble pedestal beneath your unit. Your belongings will be securely stored in the retractable drawer, which cannot be opened until you are awake and able to access it for yourself.

Simply place your forefinger on the pad in the front of the drawer, hold it there until the light turns green, then remove. This is a biostatometer, so you can sleep well in the knowledge that only your unique genetic code and thermo-muscular signature will unlock it. We have used the same technology with your larger possessions at our storage unit on base Epsilon Five.

Next, please remove your clothing and put on the grey jumpsuit and hood provided to you by our medical technicians. Don’t be concerned if it seems thin – this is so the monitors can register all your vitals while asleep, and your unit will be kept at a perfect 72 degrees Fahrenheit throughout your retirement with us.

Please step inside the unit, then turn to face the medical technician so that they can assist with the wire placements. This step may take ten minutes – please be patient, as your safety is paramount to us.

Once the unit closes, you will hear a click and a soft hissing. This is merely the sound of the sleeping gas filling the chamber, and nothing to be afraid of. The technician will remain present until you are fully sedated and continue their checklist. Try to remain calm and breathe deeply as this will speed up the process. Think about the beautiful milky waters of the lagoons on Epsilon 9, visualize yourself relaxing on the pale green sands. Breathe in, breathe out. Allow your mind to drift as the gas enters your system, spreading like warm honey through your limbs, your lungs, your veins.

Technicians Guide to Platinum Retirement Package

Step 1. 30 minutes after the sleep agent is administered, return and check the vitals readout on the rear of the unit.

Step 2. If screaming has stopped and everything is green, proceed to step five.

Step 3. If the yellow light is flashing, flush the unit and reapply the higher dose from tube N. Wait a further thirty minutes before checking again.

Step 4. Repeat as necessary until the green light holds steady.

Step 5. Unhook the pipes from the back of the unit, then extend the black lever to release the unit from the pedestal.

Step 6. Slide unit onto the relocator, secure with the clips provided.

Step 7. Remove valuables from the drawer in pedestal, Noting each item and approximate value. Remember you are being recorded, and stealing is a retireable offense.

Step 8. Place valuables into clear capsule provided and insert into the nearest vault tube. Press button and watch till the capsule has been sucked up into the vault.

Step 9. Ensure all units are securely placed on the relocator shuttle, if in doubt, check twice. Here at Twilight Inc. we value conscientious and careful employees. Remember that any damaged units will be docked from your pay.

Step 10. Drive the relocator to Client Processing in Hub J. Remove each unit, placing in correct numerical order onto their base pods.

Step 11. When the processing compartment is full, ensure all technicians are at least three meters behind the red line. A safe workplace is a happy workplace!

Step 12. Press the green button and input your employee code to activate the incinerator.

Step 13. Enjoy a fifteen minute break on us while the clients are processed.

Step 14. Sweep the pods out thoroughly into the cremations box and bring units to the sanitizer to be sprayed down ready for the next batch of clients.

Step 15. Ensure all name plates are unscrewed – accidentally forgetting this step is a major headache for the PR department.

Step 16. Place all cremains in the central file room, and receive a red stamp in your log book for each retirement plan you closed out.

Step 17. Attach the new name plates securely. Double check all belongings and stains are removed from every unit.

Step 18. Return the units to the marble pedestals in the Show Gallery.

Step 19. Prepare the welcome cocktails and lay out the jumpsuits and hoods for the new clients.

Step 20. Get your log book registered in the payments department to ensure accurate bonuses are applied.
