Philippines History , Facts or Truth

By Charity RoqueroPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The south Indian Pallava dynasty and the north Indian Gupta Empire had a huge influence on southeast Asia, including the Philippines. This can be seen in the use of Hindu culture and traditions, as well as mathematics and standard weights and measures. There was no unifying political state throughout the archipelago during this time, but instead there were several semi-autonomous city-states under the rule of a wealthy class. Meanwhile, highland societies continued to exist alongside these smaller structures. Eventually, the independent kingdoms of Luzon regained their independence from Mayapahit after a long battle in Manila in 1365. Sulu also regained its independence later on from Brunei, before attacking Japan in revenge.
