Open for Business
Microfiction
"If you've got the money, honey, the store is open."
That was what the siren voice on the TV said.
If only I had the cash.
I had some money in my accounts, but I needed to be wise about how I wielded it. I wasn't wealthy by any means.
Many wants and a few needs bombarded my mind: new jeans, a Microsoft Surface Pro 11 to replace my now ancient laptop, even a cubby storage unit I could swap out my wooden dresser for.
But even if my budget was unlimited, my space wasn't. And I couldn't just throw away what I didn't want anymore to make room.
Most of those items could be given to someone else. Plus, things like my antique dresser were family heirlooms.
So, what could I do?
