No Voice

Chris woke up in a hotel with his mouth glued together, he couldn’t understand what was going on. He felt like he hit his head and couldn’t remember anything. As he stumbled out of the room he ran to a woman he saw standing at the front desk. He tried to talk but he had forgotten his mouth was glued so he started writing down what he wanted to say and he wrote to call the police.

When the police arrived he wrote down that he couldn’t remember why he was there and didn’t know why his mouth had been glued together. The cops thought it was very strange and they told him they would do an investigation and get back to him. Chris was very upset, as he waited for the police he tried so hard to remember how he got there. The woman at the desk told him he had checked in with two other coworkers, and they were drinking and partying all night with women they had met at the hotel bar. Chris' memories started coming back and when he tried to talk but his mouth wouldn’t open. He wrote down the coworkers' names, John and David. Later that day Chris arrived at the clinic and the doctors told him that his mouth was glued closed with some type of gorilla glue and it would take several weeks before he could speak again. Chris was pissed because he couldn’t understand why his mouth was closed after just hanging out with a few coworkers.

Chris Murphy is a manager at a technology company and his coworkers seem to think he is an arrogant jerk. Chris wasn’t the best manager and he made a lot of enemies at work. Chris was very mean and would brag about himself and all his accomplishments. When it came to doing group projects Chris wouldn’t consider the opinions of others, It was either his way or no way at all. The employees didn’t seem to like that about Chris. The next day Chris walked into work, he saw John and David smirking at each other and neither one of them said hello to him. Chris knew John and David had something to do with his mouth being glued closed, and he wanted to get to the bottom of this and find out why they would do this to him, Chris thought maybe they were jealous of his success. As the day continued Chris was quiet the entire time he wrote down all his thoughts. It was harder than he thought because he was so used to talking all the time and the employees who hated him would laugh every time he wrote something and couldn’t speak. They thought finally he could finally listen to us.

This was hard for Chris because he was used to telling everyone what to do. The cops continued their investigation and John and David confessed that all the employees hated Chris the day he was supposed to nominate them with awards all he did was talk about himself during the nomination, They felt like Chris only gave orders and never took the time to give others credit, and all he did was criticize the work ethics of the employees, so they came up with the idea to take him to a bar and hotel get him drunk and glue his mouth close so he couldn’t talk when he got to work. The employees were charged with third-degree misdemeanor assault and they lost their jobs, as for Chris he learned a valuable lesson: be more considerate of others' feelings, have respect for his employees, and learn to listen to others
