James sat in his lounge quietly watching a talk show on television. He'd had a tough time at work today and just wanted to relax and watch television. He heard someone knock on the door but he decided not to answer it.

Tonight was a no-visitors night. He had been talking to people all day, so he sure as hell was not answering the door!

He tried to settle back on the couch, but the knocking grew louder.

"Go away!" he called.

Nobody answered.

A brick was thrown through his window, which annoyed him. James snatched his torch and stepped outside.

"Come on out. There's no point in hiding; I know you are there!" he shouted, only to be met by the voices of sniggering men, though he couldn't see them. He slowly walked down the side path which led into the back garden. He suddenly stopped as he heard footsteps behind him, followed by the smash of a bottle on the pavement.

He didn't dare turn around until he felt a heavy hand on his shoulder.

He didn't see any faces, and he didn't have a chance to say anything. Suddenly, he felt his head pull back, and everything went black. He could feel material on his face, and he felt a searing pain shoot down both arms as they were forced behind his back. He heard the clink of chains. He could no longer move his arms, and he realized they had been tied behind his back with the chains.

"Let me go, you bastards!" he shouted, but the sniggers only grew louder. One of the men must have gotten in his face, and the stench of alcohol on his breath was putid.

James was shaking so hard that he nearly vomited inside whatever covered his face. He held his breath because he knew that he would choke if he did.

Suddenly, he heard an engine start, but he couldn't move because his entire body was now chained down.

"Now, come on, James; be a good man, and we won't hurt you," one of the men told him, only slightly lifting whatever was covering his face to give him sips of water through a straw. James tried to boot him, but it was no use because his feet were chained down.

"I'll kill you for this!" he shouted.

He then heard a gunshot. James put his hand to his stomach, but he knew he hadn't been shot because there was no blood.

A man booted him hard in the stomach, which sent him dizzy and made him cough hard.

James tried to fight back, but it was no use.

James realized he had been kidnapped, but it happened so fast that it didn't sink in until now.

He only had a tiny bit of breath left in him, but he was determined not to die this way.

However, the men had other plans.

"You will go down for this, you sickos!" he shouted at them.

The men laughed, and one stuck a bottle in James's leg, making him recoil in agony.

"Shut the fuck up, you wimp!" the man told him.

James decided to remain silent.

He heard what he thought was the sound of someone loading a gun, which panicked him wildly. He tried to thrash around, but it was no use, so he screamed,

"HELP!"

One of the men punched him hard in the face, leaving him unconscious. The man then shot him in the stomach and killed him.

They buried James, leaving no trace of his body, and though he was reported missing. The case was never solved.

He died not knowing why. If a brick comes in your window, hide, run out the back or get the ready to fight, just dont go looking for the troublemakers. That is a bad move,

Ouch, sounds like so many victims that are never found, especially indigenous and those of color.

Definitely not a good day for James!
