She didn't know why she lied about her abilities to talk with the dead. There was no way she could back out of the seance now, no way they would let her.

She sat in the darkness of her living room, mumbling to herself, head in her hands. If they wanted to be your friend, they would be. Why do you have to have such a big mouth?

She felt a breath on her face "it'll be alright, Suzie, I'm here."

She gasped, mortified.

The doll on her bed sat up, and through laughter she heard, "I'll be your friend."
