“Stop, please, don’t do this to me,” he said as she threw his heart in the trash. He fell down bursting into tears, he was tired of getting hurt. He stood there on the ground not having anyone to lift his spirits up, he regretted not making friends right there and then. Okami laid there on the ground for at least two hours; finally he got up and walked away like nothing happened. Okami was thrown through so much while growing up so it only took him a few tears to get himself together. He took his bicycle and went home; the whole time he was walking Okami was filled with rage. Even though he was angry he was still sad, he thought she was the one only to be hurt in the end. Okami walked home from the beach side where the break up happened. He walked to his building where he saw John, the door man. There was another door man but he liked John. Even though John was sixty years old, he was easy to talk to and Okami always enjoyed listening to stories of the old man’s past. “Hey what's up old man, how are you doing?” he asked “I’m alive so I can’t complain, Clarke you do look so good,” John said worried about Okami. Okami said nothing and ran up the stairs, he wasn’t in the mood to talk about his feelings.
Okami felt a little bad but he had his reasons. He went inside the apartment and it was empty because his mom was working late at the restaurant that night. Okami needed to uplift his spirit so he went into the kitchen and raided the fridge for anything he could cook. Okami always had this thing about him, maybe it was because his mom was a chef but he always enjoyed cooking. He went inside and found some leftover omelets, onions, sweet pepper and some saltfish. He then went into the cupboard and took out some spices and spaghetti. He then sliced up the omelet, saltfish and the vegetables and fried them up. After that he cooked the spaghetti and when everything was done he threw it onto a plate and called it dinner. After finishing dinner he went to his room, turned on his computer and started watching some high school movies. No matter how many times he watched a movie, if it was a high school movie he wouldn’t get tired of it. After three hours of watching movies he got a text from his close friend, Sarah, she wanted to meet up with him.
Even though it was eleven at night and they had school the following day she wanted to come over. He didn’t want to leave the house so he invited her over and she was there in minutes. Sarah lives close to Okami but even so he was surprised at how fast she got there. There was knocking on the door and Okami opened it and it was Sarah. “Come here give me a hug, I heard what happened she’s telling everyone,” she said with a tear in her eye. Sarah and Okami were close to the point where they could almost feel each other's pain. Okami shed a single tear “Sarah I was fine until you brought it up,” he said looking at her with that single tear residing on his cheek. Sarah wiped it off “You can’t just shove down your feelings like that, come here,” she grabbed him hugging him. He hugged her back, they stood there for at least five minutes. “Hey let's go watch a movie together,” Sarah said, trying to be there for him. “Yea lets go to my room, we could keep each other warm,” Okami always enjoyed cuddling up with Sarah and watching a movie with her but they haven’t done that since Okami started dating. They went up stairs in Okami’s room and laid on the bed watching High School Musical for the one hundredth time. They fell asleep in bed together that night, lucky Sarah texted her parents before. She told them that Okami and her were going to do a project together and she might sleep over. Even though Okami and Sarah only met because Okami dated one of her friends. Their bond was strong nevertheless and her parents came around loving and trusting Okami.
The following morning Okami woke up before Sarah and got some clothes, a rag, a towel and bodywash ready for her. Sarah came over a lot so he knew what to do if she slept over, he got himself ready first then woke Sarah up for school. He then went down stairs and prepared some eggs and toast for breakfast. He was in the middle of making some coffee when Sarah came down the stairs, “Damn you look good, I should dress you more often,” she was wearing Okami’s shorts and one of his sweaters that were big on her. “You can’t keep doing this, you did this on purpose,” she said, slimming “What you look good, I can't give you a compliment,” he said, smirking. Sarah came up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Thanks for the breakfast, I was supposed to be the one taking care of you” she said, hugging him from behind while he was making the coffee. They finished breakfast and began walking down to the lobby as he was walking. He remembered he was a little disrespectful to John yesterday. He was hoping John was there so he could say sorry for yesterday but it was Peter, the other door man. “Good morning Peter, can you tell John that I’m looking for him,” he asked politely. They walked to school laughing and as happy as anyone could be, he completely forgot about the break up that was before he arrived at school.
