Whenever we have a family gathering, I’m asked to bring my tasty muffins; the strawberry and crumble flavoured ones.
I’ve been cooking these muffins for over twenty years as they seem to be everyone’s favourite.
I make them for school fetes, birthday parties, social gatherings, picnics and as mentioned, family requests.
I love the simplicity of this recipe, especially when compared against the time it takes to make them and the moreish taste of the muffins themself.
In fact, this recipe is so good, I plan to pass it on to my children and it’ll then become our family heirloom.

I was challenged to write a drabble of the word 'simplicity'.
Wikipedia defines a drabble as follows :
A drabble is a short work of fiction of precisely one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author's ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

Oooo, I love how simplicity made you come up with this story! Also, I'm glad they're muffins and not cupcakes hehehe. Loved your drabble!
