Morning on the Dock

Scales flash, dappling the dock in drops of rainbow light. The early morning rays warm the skin and suffuse the laughter coming from the young women with a soft heat.

Morgan reclines, the half of her body not submerged leaned into Lilia’s legs. Her tail swishes in the water, fins brushing against Lilia’s toes that have been draped over the edge the dock to dip into the water.
