Mayville - Part Four

For Forrest

By Evella GreyPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

You see, May's foster father didn't take her in because he wanted to help her.

No, he - Baker - was already long corrupted himself. He may very well have been born as such. Baker enjoyed the concept of control and applied it to every relationship in his life.

It was at the age of 11 that May lost her parents and was taken in by Baker. He moved May in right away, having requested her specifically when he saw her at the local police department. He'd been eavesdropping on the officers who were speaking to her regarding the accident. At first he'd thought this would be another cash-grab, as all of his previous foster children had been. That was until he'd seen May.

He was taken by her typically unnoticed and non-conventional beauty and felt a strong desire and need to house her.

However, Baker did not wish to house May out of the kindness of his heart. He took her in because - while, yes, she was beautiful to him - she was also young and small. May was exactly the type of lady Baker was in search of.

Controllable.
