Marine Corps Stories: Barracks Cuts
A sergeant major addresses a growing problem amongst the junior enlisted Marines.
The Monday barracks cuts looked rather horrendous. Particularly given the fact that the Marines had been briefed on the idea of actually going to a professional who knew what they were doing. Some hairlines zagged, the fades were too high or uneven. It looked like a circus with these junior Marines showing up for work.
Sergeant Major Ames was especially displeased. “Leathernecks! It is a part of the grooming standard that you get your haircut at the base barbershop. If I see another jacked up cut, I’m personally going to shave you bald. Understood?”
“Yes, Sergeant Major!” The Marines shouted.
