She had been a writer her whole life. However, at that moment, she sat there frozen, staring out the window, her head empty.

Tap tap

Fingers drummed the desk. A child stepped out onto the lawn just in eyesight. That's when it all flooded back to her. She could smell the dry summer grass as she played "house" with her sister and the nearby neighbor kids. Memories of werewolves and vampires and an overwhelming mysterious attractions played as if on a movie screen in her mind.

Scritch-scratch

Pen to paper she was vigorously writing.
