Twenty-year-old oil tycoon Maximus Terrill looked at the figures. He scanned the notes as if he were some kind bird of prey looking for a meal.

The oil his company produced generated more billions for him and for his shareholders. It kept his mind intact. He kept his thoughts together. he smiled. A silent laugh escaped from him.

All of the work, the anguish and opposition melted away with the figures. He kept plowing through the data. It permitted him the chance to be completely in control of his destiny. He savored every figure and felt glad about it all.
