Long live the Skelli Boo

Skelli Boo: The very last drop of a souls joy made self aware which remains on earth as it passes to the afterlife. Their appearance is arbitrarily dictated by their origins.

By Alicia AnspaughPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

They rise from the emotions left behind of those that pass on.

The things that they loved, their old haunts, and such.

Like the swirl of autumn leaves on the wind or glitter thrown in the air, The iridescent rainbow on top of a puddle.

Skelli Boo's grow from love left behind. They are born from the remaining joy of a soul and connected but not anchored to the source of that joy.

They walk in the shadows, somewhere along the fringes of our daily lives.

They are wonderful, kind, and cute and a little creepy too.

They come in all shapes but are marked by their appearance of being a black shape with bones within the black.

They resemble bats, cats, foxes, wolves, humanoids, horses, and the list goes on.

Many wander graveyards and make their homes therein.

Being nocturnal is a blessing for them as well.

But they love to come out and play in the light of a full moon.

Should you have a chance to meet a Skelli Boo, know that it is rare, and you are most fortunate, they only want to play.

Every now and then, a Skelli Boo will transcend their origins & become corporeal, they must collect the things that bring them new joy.

They are the walking evolution of the last drop of joy left by the dead, and they keep that joy alive.

Long live the Skelli Boo!
