Lights Flashed, Sirens Blared
An assailant is subdued.
Blood streaked. He had been shot in a major artery in his thigh. The pain washed over him. Sweat started to pour. He looked at the seven people fallen from his rounds. He screamed.
“I’m not about to go to the penitentiary or death row. I’m doing this all on my own.”
He raised up, the pain shooting from his leg.
He pointed the gun straight at the law enforcement officers. They opened fire and killed him in the way of suicide by police.
He laid on the concrete as medics rushed to the victims. The lights flashed, sirens blared.
