Dog Guard Dog Capitan visited his master's tomb for six years. This faithful dog slept at the graveside of his deceased owner, Miguel Guzman, every single night following his death in 2006. After the funeral, Capitan disappeared, and the grieving family launched a thorough search to find him, putting up posters. Regrettably, the dog was not seen.

A week later, one evening, visitors at the cemetery noticed Capitan lying on her grave and immediately informed the caretaker of the cemetery. The family got word from the cemetery and rushed to bring Capitan home. But the dog would scratch and whine at doors and not come inside for the night. It was subsequently discovered that Capitan made the three-mile trip back to the cemetery every day to stand guard at the site of his deceased owner.

This went on for seven years as the gates of the cemetery stayed open until 6pm every day. ''He's the only dog who continued to stay on the grave till the dawn while guarding the grave.
