Don't Argue with Donkeys

Silence is strength

By Rohitha LankaPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

Don't argue with donkeys..

Not every battle is worth fighting - especially when the other side is not interested in the truth, if only to win the argument. Here's a story that reminds us why silence is sometimes the wisest answer

Sometimes in life, you'll come across people who just want to argue - not to find the truth, but to prove themselves right, even when they're wrong.

A donkey once said to a tiger, "The grass is blue." The tiger said, "No, it's green." They argued and took the matter to the lion king. To everyone's surprise, the lion agreed with the donkey's point and punished the tiger - not because he was wrong, but because he wasted his time arguing with someone who doesn't care about the truth and only cares about being right.

The lesson? Don't waste your energy arguing with people who refuse to listen or learn. Some people argue not for clarity, but for winning. They don't seek the truth - they feed their selfishness.

Let your intelligence speak through silence. Sometimes the best response is no response at all. Protect your peace - it's worth more than proving a point to fools.

In a world full of noise, be the one who chooses peace over useless arguments. Don't let your strength diminish, go with your dignity.

I love this story so much! I prefer silence over any argument any day. Great story, Rohitha, and the donkey reference makes me laugh. Of course, my father has always said jackass, but that's my dad!
