Laundry Day with Executive Dysfunction
For the Microfiction Challenge. Definitely fiction. Yep.
They collect the clothes, gather the towels, strip the beds, and dump everything in the laundry room.
Totally crushing this!
They see the sauce stain on the shirt and remember they might need to add pizza sauce to the list so they go downstairs to check the pantry. The sauce is expired so they decide to inventory everything else. They notice the dishwasher didn't get started last night so they get a detergent pod.
Detergent reminds them of laundry but now there probably isn't time to do it anyway.
They'll sleep on the couch for three weeks.
Totally crushing this.

I met Jason when I was five years old. I could say that I loved him from the moment I saw him. He was so handsome to me and I felt in awe by his presence. When they introduced him as the new kid in school, I wanted to be his friend right away. I remember it like it was yesterday. I remember his smile and how he didn't seem shy. He appeared confident and ready to learn. I waved at him and said "hello," before anyone else could even say a word. He sat next to me, and I asked him if he wanted to be friends. He looked so happy as he said, "Yes!"
