Bedtime Stories By Mary Founteno Beverly saw how awake her children were from her place on the couch. She had slaved the day away, as a mother, and finally, when it came time for bed, her children were wide awake. Beverly knew that if she would just get some rest…

The Abbotts' Anniversary
It was an unnaturally quiet evening in Fairhaven as Mr. and Mrs. Abbott prepared to leave for their anniversary dinner. Chloe Abbott regarded herself for a long time as she stared into the smudged bathroom mirror. Her deep blue dress shimmered in the dim light, bringing out the sharp color of her emerald eyes. It was a beautiful dress, albeit a bit snug. She hadn’t worn it for a good few years. There hadn’t been much to celebrate in that time.

Movie Night
After far too long, finally our favorite weekend ritual was back up and running—the local movie theater. During the pandemic while the public was snuggling up on the couch and watching their favorite movies while sheltering in place, the movie theater in town was revamped. Most people had indifferent because they thought society needed the things that they had. I for one did not understand the high life. I did not understand what freedom was. I just knew that if it was being like master and doing what I please I yearned that.

Sunset
Pale blue eyes watched a whimsical trail of dust tumble down an old river bed, pushed by a dry wind and cascading over smooth stones rounded by years of clean flowing water now vanished. Her grandmother had once entertained her with such tales, stories she now faithfully repeated to her own grandchildren. Swirling and twisting across the brown land it blew before ending its dance on the waves of the sea as they crashed against the shore. The burning heat of the sun radiated down, hanging in an empty blue sky and waiting for someone foolish enough to wander out into its deadly rays.

Episode #45 Let's have a Bonfire
“Wow look at it out here Jordan, how amazing to see all the stars and how bright the moon is. I always had a major interest in the Cosmos. How about you?” “I must agree, the constellations are amazing to say the least. Mind you I always seems to have an issue with finding them all!” “I know the feeling, how about we take a moment to lay back, see if we can find them all tonight!”
