Last Train: The Truth of a Mysterious Night

Part 1: A normal night like any other
Ravi was an ordinary man. He must have been around 28 years old, he was a software engineer in a private company. His office was in the middle of the city, and he used to reach the Central Railway Station at 11:20 every night after finishing his shift at 11 pm. His daily local train used to leave from platform number 3 at 11:30 pm.
That night too everything was the same as it always was. Ravi was tired, he had his bag in his hand and earphones in his ears. He reached the platform, but the atmosphere was a little strange that day.
There was silence all around. No guard, no public announcement. The ticket window was closed and the lights were also a little dim. He felt a little nervous, but he thought - maybe there will be some technical problem today.
Part 2: The Train That Never Stopped
At 11:28 a train stopped on the platform. But Ravi immediately understood that this train was different. This was not the same train he used to board every day.
This train was black in colour. A very old coach came to the platform without any sound. The doors opened automatically, it was dark inside, no light, no sound.
Ravi hesitated, but then thought—maybe a new engine has been installed or the train has been changed for some other reason. He stepped inside.
As soon as he boarded, the doors closed with a loud noise.
Part 3: The beginning of a strange journey
When Ravi looked inside, the train was completely empty. Every seat was empty, there was no sound. When he looked outside, he could not see anything—no light, no station, no board.
He got scared, but composed himself and sat down. The train started moving, but the view outside remained the same—black darkness.
After a while, Ravi realized that he was not alone.
Part 4: Those Shadows
Slowly his eyes went towards the other coaches. There were some figures sitting there—black shadows. Some were looking out of the window, some were sitting quietly. But when Ravi looked carefully, his soul trembled—they had no faces!
Just body-like figures, but no eyes, no mouth. Just shadows.
Ravi quietly got up from there and tried to go towards the next compartment. He slowly opened the door, but then a shadow turned towards him and muttered—
“Now you are with us… forever.”
Part 5: Trying to escape
Ravi got scared. He tried to pull the door hard, even thought of jumping from the window, but the windows were also closed from inside. There was only black, hazy darkness outside.
The train was not stopping.
There were shadows in every compartment now—everyone was looking at Ravi. Without eyes, without faces… but they were moving towards him.
He shouted, “Is there anyone? I want to get out! What is this place?”
But there was no answer.
Part 6: Flashback
Suddenly the lights of the train came on, and Ravi started seeing scenes from the past one by one. Old faces started appearing on the walls inside the train, who had probably boarded this train earlier.
An old man—who had gone missing in 1996.
A woman—whose name Ravi had once read in the newspaper, who had disappeared from the station.
And… a boy—looking just like him.
Ravi started to understand that this was not an ordinary train. This was the last train—which carries those people who are ‘lost’, who have lost something in their lives, who are lonely.
Part 7: Choices
Now Ravi had two options—either he becomes a part of these shadows, or somehow frees himself from this cursed journey.
He made one last attempt. He took out his mobile from his bag, and wrote a message in the Notes app—
“Whoever reads this message, never board the last train coming from platform 3 at 11:30 pm. This is not a train, but a trap. Do not forget to escape.”
Part 8: Next morning
When the cleaning staff came to the station in the morning, they found an old mobile lying on a bench on platform number 3. The Notes app was open on the screen.
The railway officer picked up the mobile, and shuddered as soon as he read the message.
The same day a news was published in a newspaper—
“A person missing again on platform 3. The mobile was found, but not the person.”
Conclusion:
Even today, if you go to the station alone at night, and see an old train around 11:30 pm—then definitely think once. Is that train the “last train”?
What will you do if that train ever comes in front of you…?
