There’s something about diving down the rabbit hole of creativity that can drive a man mad. Each new idea formed only leaves the question “Am I creating something new or am I simply recycling the old into something that appears to be new?” The reality was that there was nothing new under the sun. Stephano knew that just as well as anyone else. Every single idea seemed to get recycled with time, even if those ideas took time to resurface.
Stephano facepalmed in front of his computer as he sighed deeply. He was suffering from a lack of inspiration and had a severe case of writer’s block that didn’t seem to want to go away. He looked at the time which read 11:30 A.M. and thought perhaps it would be ideal to go get something to eat. With a frustrated sigh, he got up from his desk, put his shoes on, and walked out the door. He took a bus to an authentic Mexican restaurant by the name “Tacos Lupita Gloucester” located at 63 Washington St, Gloucester, MA 01930. As he neared the entrance there was a cute, blonde woman stooping down on the ground looking as if she were picking something up. Her long blonde hair flowed over her curvy body. She had dazzling blue eyes, and full round hips that complimented her hourglass figure. She was dressed in an elegant blue gown revealing the top portion of her chest that went down to her knees. She held up what looked to be a green aventurine with the same type of energy as the garnet he held in his pocket. A wise person once said you have to play the fool at least once to become wise. There would be no wisdom gained without action taken.
He approached her with a curious smile as he said. “Hey, whatcha got there?”
“Just this crystal I found on the ground.” She said sheepishly as she held up the green aventurine for him to see.
As she gazed up at him giving him a warm smile Stephano couldn’t deny the attraction he felt towards her. He looked down at the green aventurine as it glistened and glowed softly in her hand. He then pulled out his garnet holding it out for her to see and said.
“I found a similar crystal the other day.”
“Is the feeling I’m getting from it normal?” The blonde woman said looking confused as she felt the gemstone meld with her soul.
“From what I’ve experienced, yes it’s normal.” Stephano said sheepishly as he took a step closer to her and continued speaking. “My name is Stephano by the way. What’s yours?”
“It’s Amata.” She said blushing slightly as she looked up at how much more he towered over her.
“Would you like to join me for lunch?” Stephano said timidly as his anxiety seemed to spike at the possibilities of how she might answer.
“I think I would love that.” Amata said as she put her crystal away tucking it inside her bra.
Stephano’s eyes widen momentarily at the sight of her breasts being momentarily in his view, but he puts his focus on her face trying not to embarrass himself in public. He opens the door to the authentic Mexican restaurant beckoning her to join him. She gave him a flirtatious smile as she followed his lead. He’s not sure how to feel about this, but to have someone like her accept his invitation for a date seemed like a nice change in his experiences. Perhaps this would flourish into something more. As they walked inside she wrapped her arms around his arm leaning into him sending his anxiety to new heights. He wasn’t sure how to react to the closeness of her body against his. As they approached the counter where they were to order Stephano couldn’t help but wonder if his writer’s block would finally go away after this. They both ordered the grilled steak tacos and took a seat at a table waiting for their order to be made. Amata kept giving him seductive glances as she smiled softly in his direction. Was this really happening or was this all a dream?
As they enjoyed their food together Amata leaned into him and said. “Perhaps I should leave you with my phone number.”
Stephano nodded looking down at her with a tint of nervousness and eagerness and said “Yeah, I think that’s a good idea.”
They exchanged phone numbers and went on their separate ways as Stephano went back home to his apartment. He sat at his desk feeling fully satisfied from the meal he just shared, but now his writer’s block was worse than ever. He then received a text from Alexia.
Hey, we should probably try to find other people who’ve found crystals like ours. Perhaps from there, we can figure out if there’s a purpose behind them.
Stephano thinks for a moment while looking at the text. It would be logical to find others like themselves. He texted her back.
Okay, but where would we even look for others like ourselves? I did meet one other like us earlier, but there’s no guarantee that we’ll just run into others the same way.
Alexia texted him back.
Yeah….I suppose that makes sense. Maybe we can search online?
Stephano texted her back.
Okay, we can both search online and see what we come up with.
As Stephano searched there only seemed to be dead ends or results that didn’t help at all. He face palmed and wondered vaguely if any concrete answers would ever be found. He decided to work on one of his animation projects to take his mind off the matter for the time being.
