When King Xiang of Zhou was in his middle age, he died as queen and planned to have another one. Both the great official Decadent Uncle and Peach said, "There is a folk song in the state of Di that says, 'There was a Ji Kui before and a Ji Kui after, two bright pearls that give birth to glory.' This is to say that there was a former Ji Kui, and then there was another Ji Kui, and they were the most beautiful girls in Di. The former Ji Kui was a beautiful girl whom the ruler of Di had taken from a foreign tribe, the one who had married the Marquis of Jin, Chong Er. The latter Ji Kui was the daughter of the king of Di, and she was young and handsome, but she had no in-laws! The king of heaven might as well send someone to propose." Hearing this, the lord of heaven sent the two great physicians to make a match. Of course, Di Jun agreed and sent Ji Kui to Luoyang. The king of heaven, regardless of the opinion of his ministers, made her his queen and called her Queen Kui.

Queen Kui used to be free. Now that she was the queen, she felt like a bird in a cage, with wings, but she could not fly. She had the strength but also can not make out, can only yawn, stretching lazy. One day, she frowned and said to King Xiang, "I have been riding and hunting with my father since I was a child, and I am quite comfortable. But now that I've been enjoying my life in the palace, I feel sore and lazy. I'm afraid I'll get sick if I go on like this. Why doesn't the King of Heaven go out hunting, so that I can revitalize my blood."

The King of Heaven was trying to please Queen Kui, and when he heard she wanted to hunt, he chose a good day to hold a hunting competition. The place is in the North Mang Mountain [in the north of Luoyang City, Henan Province; Mang mang second sound]. A tent and a platform were set up on the mountainside. King Xiang and Queen Kui sat on the platform and watched. The mountain was full of trees, and a road and a flat area were faintly revealed, which was a good place for hunting. King Xiang gave an order, saying, "If you get 30 birds or beasts, you will get the first prize; if you get 20 birds, you will get the second prize; if you get 10 birds, you will get the third prize; if you get less than 10 birds, you will get no prize." For a while, princes, princes, and grandsons, generals and soldiers, everyone is brave, everyone is brave, running east and west, chasing the south and north, the north tumultuous mountain. It was almost dusk when the King of Heaven sent an order to hand over the prey. Not long after, princes, princes, grandsons, and generals all came to offer their merits. There were a dozen of them, there were also a dozen of them, but Tai Shu brought in more than thirty, and all of them were roe deer, rabbits, and other things that were not easy to catch. He got the first-class reward. Queen Kui praised Tai Shu belt endlessly. As the saying goes, "When you see a hunt, you are happy", so Queen Kui was itching to show off her skills. She said to King Xiang, "It is still early in the day. I would like to go hunting and practice my muscles, will the King of Heaven agree?" When the King of Heaven heard Kui Hou's soft request, he had no reason not to agree to it. He ordered his soldiers and boys to have another round. Queen Kui smilingly took off her outer clothes and revealed her full armor. With a bow on her shoulder, a few arrows on her waist, and a halberd in her hand, which was as tall as she was, she bowed to King Xiang and prepared to go. King Xiang ordered his men to prepare a carriage and horses. Queen Kui said, "It is more convenient to ride a horse than to ride a carriage. The maids I brought from Di know how to ride horses, please try it in front of the King of Heaven!" Then the King of Heaven called for some good horses, and seven or eight court maids immediately rode on them. Queen Kui picked a white horse and was about to get on it, but King Xiang said to the princes and grandsons, "Whoever is a good horse rider, protect the Queen!" Tai Shu took the initiative and said, "I am willing to protect her!" King Xiang of Zhou said, "I can rest assured that you will go, brother." Queen Kui got on her horse and ran down with the palace maids. Dashu followed behind. Queen Kui wanted to show off her ability in front of Taishuban, so she gave the horse several whips and went off at a gallop. The two horses were in front and behind each other. The two horses ran along the mountain road one after the other. When they passed the mountainside, Queen Kui stopped the reins of the horse and praised Taishuban, saying, "I have heard of your ability, but today I saw it." Taishuban said, "I have just learned to ride a horse, so I am no match for the Queen's ability!" The two of them had nothing else to say and looked at each other in silence. They couldn't keep looking at each other like this, and the court ladies' horse team arrived. It so happened that the soldiers on the hill drove down a herd of deer. Tai Shu shot two arrows in quick succession and brought down two big deer. The deer jumped half a dozen feet high, fell and ran a few steps, and did not move. The group shouted with approval. The palace maids returned with three deer. The palace maids returned with the three deer, and Tai Shu came to see the King of Heaven with the king in tow. King Xiang was so happy that he could only say, "The Queen has suffered a lot! The queen is really capable!"
