Kitten's story

When I got off the bus, I watched the clouds roll in and out all the way to the trail without realizing it.

The day was beautiful, in the middle of a long summer afternoon, and the wind was slightly cool. Perhaps it is to respond to the scenery, I chose the path surrounded by green trees at the side of the busy road. Walking on the cobblestone pavement, I was able to raise my hand to touch the rain-soaked trees, which was very pleasant. After a few steps, I faintly heard the sound of a cat barking, "Meow - meow -" At first I suspected I had misheard it, but as I got closer, the sound became stronger and stronger, seeming to It seemed to be calling for help, and it seemed to be calling for someone.

With a belly full of doubt, I followed the sound to the location of the cats, to be exact, four small, hamster-like kittens with their eyes still open. They were curled up, their gray-brown fur trembling gently. Around them, there was no mother cat, nor their owner. Only their intermittent, choked purrs could be heard. They must have been abandoned, I thought. The rising and falling grievances became a raging sea, lapping at my heart in wave after wave. They were so pathetic! I gritted my teeth, and without thinking about my mother's opinion, I picked up one and put it into my arms.

I couldn't care less and ran straight to my house with it in my arms. My mother was extremely opposed to it, but she didn't care about it for a while, so she went to cook for herself, while rambling to me: "Such a small cat, only a short time after birth, is to drink milk, no mother cat will have to feed it milk to drink, no milk powder and no bottle at home, how can you feed it? Also, we can't eat fish and meat every day ......" I was silent for a long time. What mom said was not without reason, but ...... how could I bear to let it fend for itself?

When it was time to eat, it was still barking, so I got some milk for it, but it didn't drink at all. I can only helplessly listen to its cries over and over again, heartbroken, but can not do anything about it. The titillating music in my ears suddenly ended, and instead of a moment of peace, there was a long, silent period of silence.

The mother was right, don't be a hero without this condition, eventually, I compromised.

It was the same trail, the same lawn, and the black wind roaring endlessly in the thick darkness of the sky. Without the sound of the cat, I was slightly surprised. On second thought, with all that wind, perhaps they had frozen and starved to death. I was horrified by this thought, but at the same time I prepared my heart for the worst. I gently put it back in place, and in the afterglow, I saw something, and when I looked closely, it was the cats. I was happy to stroke them, but at the same time, I felt sad for them, if there is no good people to rescue them, they will have to live, probably will not last until tomorrow morning.

The four of them were reunited again and had some strength to cry. For a moment, I had the urge to take them all home, even if it was just for one night, at least better than the cold and windy outdoors. But I still rationally held back, not looking back, and left.

The next day when I came back there were only two left, to my relief, they are still alive, the other two should be adopted by a good person, I said to myself, in fact, I know in my heart, so unlikely.

On the third day, there was nothing left, it was as if nothing had happened, the lawn was empty. I was still hoping they had been adopted.

If, if they all died, would they say to God, "We died because of people's false love, because of this cruel world, because of the uncaring reality."
