The small town of Willow Creek was a place where time stood still. Nestled in the heart of rural America, it was a community where everyone knew each other's names, and the local diner served as the gathering spot. For 19-year-old Juno, it was a place that had always felt suffocating.
She'd grown up in Willow Creek, surrounded by the same familiar faces and streets. Juno had begun to feel restless as she entered her teenage years. She had a sense that there was more to life than the predictable routine of small-town life. As she approached her 20th birthday, Juno's desire to leave Willow Creek had grown stronger. She'd applied to colleges on the other side of the country, eager to trade in the familiarity of her hometown for the excitement of city life.
Juno's parents, though hesitant, had finally given their blessing for her to leave the nest. Juno had been counting down the days until she could make her escape, but as the day of her planned departure approached, Juno couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The air seemed thick with an unspoken tension, and the stars twinkling above seemed to be watching her with an otherworldly intensity. As she lay in her bed, surrounded by the quiet of the night, Juno felt a creeping sense of unease. It was as if the town itself was holding its breath, waiting to see what the next day would bring. Little did Juno know she would never make it out of the small town she hated so much.
The next day, Juno couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. The thought of leaving Willow Creek behind was both exhilarating and terrifying. She had packed her bags, said her goodbyes, and was ready to start a new chapter in her life.
Walking down the street to the bus station, she felt like she was being watched. The sun shone, the birds sang, and the air filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers. However, Juno's heart was heavy, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong.
As she approached the town's central square, she saw a group gathered around something on the ground. Curious, Juno walked over to see what was happening. That's when she saw it - a small, lifeless body lying on the ground. She slowly got closer.
Juno's heart skipped a beat as she realized that it was her own body, lying there, cold and still. Juno's thoughts raced. Suddenly, the memories started to flood back into her mind.
She was in her bed trying to fall asleep as her phone rang. It was her ex-boyfriend, Benson. He wanted to see her one last time before she left. The two of them had a rocky relationship at best, but she quickly got dressed and headed out of the house despite the feeling in her gut.
As Juno walked down the street, she was unaware of the tragedy that was about to unfold. It all happened so quickly. She walked to the gazebo in the town square to meet Benson one last time. They met in the middle of the night at this same spot hundreds of times in high school. This time was different. This time, she wouldn't walk away.
Juno's mind drifted back to the current moment. She had always been a restless soul, but this was not how she wanted to leave small-town life behind. She thought about her parents, friends, and life before it got cut short. She thought about the college she had planned to attend, the friends she had not yet made, and the future she had envisioned.
Juno suddenly felt a sense of longing. She longed to see her loved ones, to tell them goodbye. She longed to experience the world beyond the confines of Willow Creek. She longed to live.
As the townsfolk walked around, they whispered of the crime that had occurred. They spoke of Juno, the girl who had come so close to getting away.

Very good story, that was a good twist that she was already dead.
