“I sentence you to eighty seven years in prison,” I said. He was only nine and his crime was bubblegum theft, but the law is the law. No excuses for breaking it. He went to his cell crying, I went home and slept happy. I watched the news and saw a superior court judge released everyone I had sentenced for ‘excessive punishment.’ I heard shouting outside my house. I went outside to see what the noise was. It was all the convicts. “There he is. Get him,” someone shouted. A car rammed my gates and they all beat me up.
