"Jamais vu"

And 'Deja vu'.

By Novel AllenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

When Jamais was born she did not cry. The doctor escorted her from her mother's womb, she opened her eyes, blinked once, and everyone lost their sense of time and reality. They had experienced 'jamais vu'.

"Jamais vu": The concept of feeling unfamiliar with something that is very familiar to you - rarer than Déjà vu and very unnerving.

Déjà vu: A rather strange feeling of having already experienced the situation in the present.

Jamais vu is worse than deja vu.

The people in the birthing room described the sensation of looking at the familiar and finding it suddenly unknown.

With grave concern in their eyes, Jamais' parents took her home.

As she grew older, she mastered manipulating anyone to get her own way. Jamais vu could make people lose themselves and their sense of reality while succumbing to her powers.

After getting what she desired, she snapped them out of their trance leaving them with the feeling of unreality.

At school she was a holy terror, prompting her expulsion from numerous institutions of learning. Her parents finished her education in a home- schooling environment. Tutors came and went, until finally, aged 18, Jamais went off to college.

She studied psychology, behaviorism, medicine and the science of the mind among similar topics and was recruited by every government institution.

"Our cognitive systems must stay flexible, allowing us to direct our attention wherever needed rather than getting lost in repetitive tasks for too long." Is her motto.

Jamais vu works for a secret organization with another gifted individual. Together, they are unstoppable.

Deja VU.

At all times they watch you, hear you and feel you. Pray you don't meet them in your criminal pursuits.
