Jacob's adventure to Treasure Hunt

The story sets in 1870s in the famous city of Paris. It was a late night when a boy name Jacob who works in a warehouse was going back to his house. On the way back, Jacob saw a wallet on the lonely main street.

Seeing no one around, Jacob took the wallet and ran away towards his home which was not far away from the street. After reaching home, he hurriedly looks inside the wallet as his parents would arrive soon at home.

The wallet consists of some cash, a folded paper and personal id of the wallet owner.

The owner was a prominent minister in the region. Jacob unfolded the paper and saw a map which was pointing to a treasure with navigation details to reach there. Jacob becomes astonished and curious after finding out what he got.

He got really excited and enthusiastic with the idea of treasure hunt and planned to do it on the coming Sunday.

He went to work tomorrow in the morning in the warehouse crossing the same road from which he found the wallet. He saw two policemen asking about something from each and every shop which made him really dubious, so he walked towards his warehouse in a quiet and hidden fashion.

One of the policemen got little suspicious of him so he stopped and asked him about the same wallet. Jacob got little nervous, but he informed them that he didn't know about it.

For the next two days, he saw a huge rise in search activities from policemen and presence of lot of posters depicting the reward money of 50 francs to whomever found the wallet.

Jacob got happy that he can get 50 francs by returning the wallet, but he was also in the dilemma to not return it as he was really excited about the treasure hunt. He was very confused and kept on thinking on this for the whole day. At last, he went to the police-station the very next day and returned the wallet. He got reward money and came back to the house happily.

Later on, two policemen come at his home. Although he was at warehouse working but his parents were there. The policemen interrogated his parents about the note which wasn't present in the returned wallet.

Though his parents weren't aware of all the wallet lost & found situation, they were still rushed to the police-station and their house was kept on probed too.

The boy was informed that his parents were taken to police station, so he immediately rushed to the station. The police staffs got relieved to see him and informed the elderly gentleman who was seated on the station head's seat. He was none other than the minister himself.

The minister spoke to Jacob about the note that was present in the wallet. Jacob behaved naive and told him that he didn't find any note inside the wallet. The minister found Jacob innocent and asked the police to release his parents from the custody.

Jacob planned for treasure hunt next Sunday as the current week seemed risky due to massive investigation from police and government personnels. As an excuse, he informed his parents that his warehouse InCharge had asked him to work on coming Sunday in early shift.

The day arrived, Jacob went for the treasure hunt with high enthusiasm and energy.

Jacob followed the map and crossed about 10 miles from his house into a very lonely and strange area with lot of red-crossed signals marked on trees every few steps. Jacob got really nervous, but the zeal for treasure hunt made him to continue his journey. The dead end of the hunt pointed to an old house, literally the only house he can see for miles around. He got excited and went inside the house to hunt the precious treasure. There was nobody inside the house as well as he couldn't find any valuable thing present in the house too.

Suddenly, a man enters the house. Jacob got alerted and hided beside a sofa. The man was the same minister who was looking for the note earlier. The minister spoke loudly that he knows, Jacob is hiding somewhere and asked him to come out. Jacob panicked and came out.

Surprisingly, the minister appreciated him rather than to threaten or scold him to hunt the house from the map as depicted in the note.

Jacob got calmed by the reaction of minister and asked curiously what secret treasure is hidden inside the house. The minister started laughing and told him that there was no treasure hidden here rather the house was a secret warehouse for boxes of critical documents containing proof against the atrocities done by some greedy and cruel government officials. He had hided the documents here with the help of his team of courageous & righteous folks. When the right time comes, they will expose these officials against their crime.

The minister later told Jacob that he was too naive and young to understand the criticality and danger associated with this house and asked him to forget whatever he had seen or listen and to return back to his home.

Jacob instead replied that he found a strong meaning in his work towards justice and asked him to recruit him in his squad.

The minister cautioned him against the risks and troubles associated with the work. Jacob got the sense about the price he will have to pay if he becomes part of the team but was still persistent in joining it.

The minister already impressed with Jacob's courage and thrill to navigate to the secret house, considered him as a hidden treasure to his squad. He agreed to take him in his team.

Jacob got really happy and excited about the upcoming thrills and adventures coming in his life just like the treasure hunt.
