Jason looks up at the ceiling and ponders. Something wasn’t right. The kitchen didn’t feel the same. He admitted that it was the same ceiling he’d normally see. He could see the familiar cabinetry, out the corner of his eye. When Jason looked down, this definitely wasn’t normal. He stood on moist, firm, dark brown mud. He squatted his knees to physically touch it for himself. As the ground gave in to his fingertips, that was confirmation. Either the squatting was too much pressure or the ground simply started to succumb to his weight as he felt himself go lower.
