In another Realm

'The river ran backwards on the day the Queen vanished.'

“It’s been three weeks since the Queen vanished and we’ve sent every Horseman up and down the river, through the woods to find the Queen,” the Queen’s Advisor.

”You’re not looking hard enough!” The King said as he slammed his staff down so hard beside him that it nearly broke.

”My Lord,” The Queen’s advisor now quivering and sturtting so badly he could barely speak. “W-w-we’ve exhausted a-a-all-l our resources.”

”Than where is my Queen? Why has the River now moved backwards in her vanishing?”

”My Lord, that is what we are trying to figure out. Why the Queen and the River are linked together is something that we do not understand. There’s also one other thing.”

“Go ahead. Spit it out!”

Nervously the Queen’s Advisor informed the King that along with the Queen’s vanishing and the river running backwards from this, 90% of the Kingdom had also disappeared.

”Why hasn‘t this been brought up sooner?” The King is furious with this information.

”My Lord, we haven’t really realized this was an issue till recently since we’ve been spending the last three weeks searching for the Queen. All of our horsemen are exhausted- they barely sleep-”

”All I hear are excuses!” the King stood up screaming. “FiNd mY QUEen and figure out WHAt haPpenEd to the town’s people, NOW!”

The Queen’s Advisor‘s ran out of the room so fast.

”My Lord, what are we going to do?” The King’s Advisor asked.

The King sitting in his thrown with his head in his hand; “I have no idea at this point. The only thing we need to figure out is why this is happening. Why did the Queen vanish and the river running backwards in her vanishing? How are the townspeople connected to this? How do so many people disappear?”

The King was in his bed chambers walking back and forth. He saw something in the corner of his eye. Whipping his head towards the mirror on the wall and seeing his Queen banging on the mirror from the other side. She was trying to catch his attention.

The King rushed towards the mirror on the wall; "Oh my! My Queen! Where are you? Can you hear me?!"

The King put his hands on the glass to try to reach through and banging on the glass. The Queen tries to catch his attention but neither side is able to hear the other.

The King yelled for the staff. Staffing rushed into his room and everyone surrounded the mirror but no one could figure out what was happening.

About an hour later with everyone in the King's bed chambers, an older woman in ragged clothes and a big cloak came in and started laughing.

The King was disgusted with this woman; "What is so funny?"

"You stupid man!" The woman cackled. "You couldn't handle your Queen- your kingdom, so it was stripped away from you."

"What are you talking about you disgusting woman?"

"This right here. You think you are above everyone- including your Queen,"

Everyone stood there in shock.

"Without your Queen, you wouldn't have a Kingdom. You need her but you treat her as your servant. Without her, you would never be King!"

"What have you done, woman?" The King in a panic.

The woman laughed; "Are you not listening? Stupid man. It's not what I have done, it's what you have done."

"Can you get to the point?" The King panicking.

"Oh, She's still here. You're just on a different plane."

"A different what? What is this witchcraft?"

"Stupid man. You screwed up so bad that the universe took you and your men took you away from your world and put you in a different plane of existence. How you get back is up to you."
