If wall could speak

A fictional story

By KabilPublished 3 years ago 5 min read

" Once upon a time, there was a grand castle that stood tall and proud in the heart of a kingdom. Its walls were built with solid stone, strong enough to withstand even the harshest of battles. For centuries, the castle had seen many kings come and go, many battles fought, and many secrets kept. But what if, just for a moment, the walls could speak and share all the stories they had seen and heard?

The sun had set, and the castle was silent. The moon shone bright, illuminating the empty halls and corridors. Suddenly, a strange whispering could be heard, and the walls began to shimmer. The castle's walls had come to life, and they were ready to speak.

"We have seen it all," the walls whispered in unison. "From the joyous celebrations of coronations to the sadness of war, from the laughter of children playing in the halls to the tears of soldiers as they marched off to battle."

The walls continued, "We have seen love flourish and we have seen it wilt. We have seen traitors and heroes, and we have seen death. We have seen it all."

The castle's walls then took the listeners on a journey through time, sharing stories of bravery and cowardice, love and loss, triumph and defeat. They told of battles fought and won, and of battles lost. They spoke of kings who ruled justly and of those who were cruel. They spoke of the love between a prince and a commoner that defied all odds, and of the love between two soldiers who lost each other on the battlefield.

As the night wore on, the walls shared more and more stories until they finally fell silent. The listeners were left in awe of all they had heard, and they realized that the walls of the castle held secrets that would never be fully known.

The sun began to rise, and the walls returned to their solid stone form. But from that night on, the castle was not just a place of stone and mortar, but a place of tales and legends, of love and war, and of bravery and cowardice.

For if the walls could speak, they would tell the story of the kingdom and all its secrets. And that story would live on forever, as long as the castle still stood tall and proud in the heart of the kingdom.

Years went by, and the kingdom flourished. But one day, a new king took the throne, and he was not like the kings before him. He was cruel and selfish, and he did not care for the stories of the castle's walls. He saw the castle only as a symbol of his power and nothing more.

He ordered the walls to be painted over, covering the stories that had been told for centuries. The walls were no longer allowed to speak, and the secrets they held were forgotten. The castle became a place of fear and oppression, where the king ruled with an iron fist.

But the walls were not happy about this. They felt suffocated, unable to share the stories they had kept for so long. They yearned to speak again, to share the tales of bravery, love, and heroism that they held within.

One night, when the moon was full and the castle was silent, the walls began to whisper once more. The whispers grew louder and stronger, until they became a roar. The castle shook, and the paint on the walls began to crack and peel away. The stories of the kingdom were once again revealed, shining bright and bold for all to see.

The king, frightened by the power of the walls, ordered his army to attack the castle and destroy it. But the walls were too strong, and the army could not bring them down. The walls stood tall, defying the king and his army, and their stories continued to be told for generations to come.

The walls of the castle had finally been set free, and they would never be silenced again. They would continue to share the stories of the kingdom, reminding the people of their bravery and their history, and inspiring them to fight for what is right, even in the darkest of times.

And so, if walls could speak, they would tell of the power of love, bravery, and the strength of the human spirit. They would remind us that even the greatest of secrets can never truly be hidden, and that the story of a kingdom will always live on, as long as there are walls to tell it.

Years passed, and the kingdom became known for the stories of the castle's walls. People would travel from far and wide just to hear the tales that were told within its halls. They would sit in awe, listening to the walls as they whispered of bravery, love, and the power of the human spirit.

As the years went by, the castle became a symbol of hope and resilience, reminding the people of the kingdom that even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light. The stories of the walls inspired a new generation of heroes, who stood up against oppression and fought for what was right.

And so, the walls of the castle continued to speak, becoming a source of pride and inspiration for the people of the kingdom. They reminded the people that the stories of their past would always be a part of them, and that they must strive to live up to the bravery and courage that was once shown by their ancestors.

But even the strongest of walls will eventually crumble and fade away. And when that day came, the stories of the castle's walls would be passed down from generation to generation, becoming a part of the kingdom's oral history. The walls may no longer speak, but their stories would live on, forever reminding the people of the kingdom of their bravery, their history, and their spirit.

And so, if walls could speak, they would tell us that the story of a kingdom is not just about battles won and lost, but about the people who lived within its borders, the tales they told, and the memories they left behind. They would remind us that even the smallest of whispers can become a roar, and that the power of love, bravery, and the human spirit can never truly be silenced.
