I liked him first, then you took him away. Talked trash about me to my friends, they became yours. I was out of school, sick, and you moved to my seat. No one looks at me the same, now you're the favored one. They might as well call you Zae, cause you stole my identity.

Part 1.

I finally got the nerve to talk to my crush, I'd been planning this for weeks. His name is Chase, he is tall, handsome, and he's a traveler. What's not to love? He sits in front of me in one of my classes, some days we have to work with a partner and before the teacher stops talking he'll turn around and say "I'll do this part, you do that one, and then we'll reconvene when we're done," then flashes his pearly white teeth. As we work on the problems he looks at me from the corner of his eye, giving me butterflies. When we're finished he turns around and motions to my workbook saying, "May I?" I nod as he turns my book to face him as he double checks my work. I can barely look at him, he makes me so nervous, but in a good way. I'm blushing through my face mask.

Turns out I got exposed to Covid in close quarters. So now I'm stuck at home for two weeks, but this is my chance with Chase. I can email him. My teacher doesn't post the majority of the homework online, which Chase knows. I'll ask him to text me the homework and put my number in the email. I'm a genius.

It worked, he sent me a message. I look forward to talking to him more often. I keep my friend Victoria updated about him so she knows that I got his number. She had a question that she wanted to ask him and wanted his number. She was my first friend at my new school and I'm naive when it comes to her, so I gave her his number. Little did I know that'd be one of the worst mistakes I'd ever make.

A few days after I gave Victoria Chase's number she told me that she had a crush on him before I did, but that she backed off when I said I liked him. I knew that there was some kind of downside to giving her his number. Ever since she started talking to him he has been texting me a lot less and is kinda awkward. She'd mentioned that she was going to tell Chase that I like him, then she'd go into extreme detail about some great conversation they'd just had. It's like she's trying to make me jealous, then she acts like we're best friends again. I don't know if it's just me, but I think that shows how toxic she truly is. She destroyed the relationship him and I were building. She ruined my life.

Part 2.

First my crush, then my friends. I built bridges with the people you always wanted to be friends with and you burned them. First you came for Sofie, she was your friends first, but she can have more than one friend. She said that her other friends left and that you were the only one she had. Seems a little suspicious from an outsiders point of view. Seems like this wasn't your first sabotage.

Why did you have to tell rumors about me? You said we were best friends. What we have is fake, it always was. I thought we were going to be friends for life, but instead you ruined mine while you were put on a pedestal. The crowd cheers so loud, they scream your name. And you can't hear my cries of desperation. This was supposed to be my fresh start, you spoiled it. Rotten to the core, just like you.

They say you get what you deserve, I didn't derserve this though. I've been a good person over these years, one mistake is all it takes to lose everything you've ever worked for.

Just come to my house and take my things, call my family yours. Live the life that I should've lived. It was going to be special. I had everything planned to the T. They might as well call you Zae, 'cause you stole my identity.
